  1. Interested to hear about your experience... would like to try NO since we are NOT interested in travel to FL or TX.
  2. We ate at the seafood restaurant just across the street from the cruise port... Steamers Seafood is the name. My wife had a lobster roll, and I had fried clams- both were very good. There are more restaurants just the next block up the hill, that look like they would be worth checking out. There are a number of places within easy walking distance. Enjoy!
  3. Our our cruise in Aug. RC dropped Bar Harbor, and we added an overnight in St. John, NB... so glad that they did this- we loved the place, loved having dinner out instead of lunch (as we do in most ports). The people were so kind, there was a surprising amount to do (loved our whale watch excursion and the BEST OF ST. JOHN tour). All in all, a win in our book!
  4. My wife and I recently cruised on Vision of the Seas, a smaller ship (2500 max), and often ran into similar issues in regards to getting elevator access. We also chose to take the stairs most times that we could to avoid the joslting and hassle of dealing with the elevator crowd. I think it is more an issue of number of people vs. number of elevators x places where people want to go... and how well the ship/cruise line manages events and activities. just my .02$
  5. I happened to pick up my RC polo from my local thrift store! And this was after I booked my first cruise, but before we had taken it!
  6. I have not done the excursion through Royal, but I have been to Tulum, and the site is GREAT... not as overwhelming as Chitchen Itza, but still facinating and beautiful. PLUS having the water/beach there is a major PLUS. I can surely recommend the site.
  7. I'd be interested to know this as well! I believe, with the length of the cruise, that we will have TWO formal nights, correct?
  8. Thanks for posting these! My wife and I are booked on Vision for the Aug. 31st New England/Canada cuise, and it is nice to hear about your experience on the ship! Happy Belated to the Artist (I am a sketcher as well!). I'll be excited to hear more about your itinerary.
  9. Just squeaked in with Vision on 8/31! First time cruising!
  10. We just purchased a combo of luggage tags and badge lanyards... $11.99 for 4 tags and 2 badge lanyards. They arrived and look like they will work great. here is the link... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BNH62M55/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  11. This will be my wife and my first cruise- Really looking forward to this itinerary!
