  1. After dinner we decided to try and see if we could get into the Aqua show since ours was cancelled the night before and it was rescheduled for today, but we had other plans tonight at that time. We ended up being able to watch it from the tables at the bar right behind the Aqua theater. While the show doesn’t come close to Aqua 80’s the performed still just amaze me at how talented they are. After that went to studio B and saw the end of battle of the sexes(the men were bad, they couldn’t even tie the balloon) and then stayed for the quest. The quest was just ok, I think it’s one of those things after you’ve seen it enough it gets a little old. By then it was midnight and this old man was exhausted so it was bedtime.

  2. So recap yesterday afternoon. First, my flowriding still needs some work. As a teacher @Lovetocruise2002 would probably give me a D so far. We were supposed to see Mama Mia at 5, but for some reason it was cancelled and doesn’t look like it’s been added to today so guess we are going to miss that. So instead on the recommendation of @Mattwe decided to do a specialty dining and go to 150 Central Park since we had never eaten there before. The food and service were both awesome. I will have to get my wife to send me some of the pictures she took because I was bad and kept forgetting to take pictures. Here are a couple I took. For appetizers she had a Velute soup or whatever it was called, I had the scallops, and we shared the braised short rib. OMG, that short rib was amazing. Then we had the beef tenderloin for 2 as our entree and for dessert she had some peanut butter thing and of course I had to get the fried cheesecake.

Is it loud all over or just by the pool? And did you try any of the food?

Just by the pool, and honestly it wasn’t even all that loud today. It did get louder as the day went on. We went to the far end by the cabanas with their own pool. Plenty of open seating and pretty quiet. Nice to relax in the hammocks in the water. I just had some stuff from the snack shack. Burger, cheese sticks. Ice cream. Burger wasn’t very good. Cheese sticks were good, and can’t go wrong with ice cream 😂

  4. Pretty over cast and windy today at PDCC. Luckily we got the hideaway pretty cheap after some price drops($26.99), because with the cold Caribbean water and not great weather we didn’t stay long. I would say in warmer months it’s probably worth and upcharge here as it was not overly crowded, plenty of seats available, and the no kids is an added benefit. I think around $30/person probably worth it. If they start going crazy and trying to get $80, I wouldn’t pay that for it. Now we are just back on the ship relaxing in the solarium. Will head back to the flowrider this afternoon as I still need a lot of practice. Then mama Mia at 5 tonight.

  5. So yesterday was a pretty chill day. We were both pretty tired. Wife was in the spa from about 1-5. I did the flowrider, got a little work done, and watched the sail away around 4.  We had MTD which I hate at 6:45 and it was a total zoo. Line wrapped around the stairwell. After dinner we did a little shopping and walked around the track. We were supposed to see aqua show at 10:15 but we were rocking and it was pretty windy so that was cancelled. We were both pretty exhausted from being up at 6am so the wife went to bed. I decided to hit the casino for a little bit, but should have just gone to bed. It didn’t go well. Here’s some pictures from dinner, and yes both of the cheesecakes are for me. Don’t judge me, I’m on vacation 😂😂

    It is Cruise Day!!!!

Last month when I boarded Allure, I was onboard and done with muster by 10:18, has whatever happened with her been fixed?

Yeah they were boarding already at 10:20 when we got there. Just had to wait about 10 minutes before we could board. And I’m hoping it’s fixed. I know last Monday they left really late as they were working on electrical issues. So far seems ok

  7. @GatorCruiser this post is for you. Had an 8:30 tee time this morning at Copperhead. They are preparing for the PGA Valspar event here in about 3 weeks. The course was in great shape and they are building all the media towers and stands. It’s pretty cool to get to golf with it like that. Only downside was it was cart path only since they are wanting to get the course in great shape so lots of extra walking to my ball. Especially since I don’t exactly hit it straight. And with them letting the rough grow out for the pros, let’s just say I didn’t have them inviting me back to play with the pros. Here’s some photos for you @GatorCruiser

I find it hilarious how the roles are identical in your house, compared to mine, when it comes to travel, except reversed.

I have already told Hubby many times that we leave on Friday, March 8th. Hopefully he remembers...

Yeah my wife is the person who thinks she’s never late to anything because the party doesn’t start until she gets there. I struggle to convince her that the airplanes and cruise ships don’t care about that 😂😂

  9. And it’s travel day!!  We will leave the house around 3:45pm for the 2 hour trek to Midway. The wife wakes up and asks what the plan is for today 🤦‍♂️ so I remind her that we are leaving at 3:45. I really should have told her 3 as she’s never on time. Anyways she starts freaking out saying she doesn’t know how she’s going to get everything done by then. We’ve only discussed 6 times that we were leaving this afternoon and she had to be off work early.

I’m not sure it really makes long-term business sense to dramatically increase prices while cutting service.  We are now paying far more for cruises.  It seems the entertainment, staffing, and food cutting should stop.

Very true. They must think there are enough new cruisers coming aboard that if they get rid of all this stuff now they will be none the wiser and clearly they think the new cruiser market is bigger than the old cruisers so they really don’t care much what we think. It probably helps them if seasoned cruisers go away to reset their high level loyalty members.
