100% insane and insensitive in some cases.
If you're a Diamond member don't you get 3 free at night? Maybe the drink package isn't worth it for you with the free drinks...just pay as you go?

Four pages and counting discussion without a real good consensus.  Though I think somewhere in the middle it turns in to an argument about which region has better food and how many Molsons a person can safely drink?  I'm not entirely sure, but either way I know I will try Sorrento's myself and see.  The pizza on DCL wasn't all that great either, but boy it sure hit the spot after a tequila/margarita tasting session.  That and a cup full of sliced pickles.

My two cents -  pizza is one of my favorite foods in life. I'm surrounded my good pizza - I live on Long Island, work in NYC - pizza from the surrounding areas is just good and there is a pizza place practically in every shopping center.  I know and love the good stuff but DiGiorno's is fun sometimes. Sorrentos - when I had  it was fine.

I'll put it this way - my mother made the best meatballs in the world. No one comes close...but will I eat frozen questionable meat meatballs? Sure they're meatballs!!! I think I only get super picky with sushi - 'cause tapeworms....

The Holiday Inn Port of Miami and the Intercontinental are both downtown and walking distance to the Bayside Marketplace which has several restaurants and shopping options.  It's literally just across the street from the Holiday Inn and through a small park from the Intercontinental.  Both are about a 5 minute drive across the bridge to the port.  We are staying at the Holiday Inn for a cruise sailing out of there at the end of the month.  There is also a YVE and a couple other options nearby I believe, but those were the two I narrowed it down to before booking.

Your stateroom attendant can provide one for free. You're only charged the corkage fee if you bring it to a bar or restaurant to have it opened there.

Personally I don't feel indignation that my room steward might be making a half-decent wage.  Rather surprised just how angry you seem to be that I don't.
But anyway, let me try my hand at the whole math thing.
260 working days in a year.  Minus 2 weeks vacation, 250 working days in a year. (if they work more days then this will go up obviously, but that is true for Canadians too and I'm comparing apples to apples as best as I can)
250 x 71.8 (I will give you that 20 rooms) = $17,950.  Wage is probably $10,000/yr (if you disagree then feel free to offer proof otherwise), so a total gross income of $27,950 USD.

NS8VN got a reaction from monctonguy in Gratuity Breakdown
Are you basing this off of 365 days?  Because I'm doubting they work every single day, but if they do then yes I will call $30k extremely low.

Please remember that while you look at these numbers take into account the number of days off that these workers get while on contract...basically ZERO.
I just don't get the infatuation of trying to figure out how much these workers make.

The most logical and least bothersome place would be in a designated smoking area.  Don't smoke on your balcony.

No, until it is.  The thing about insurance is that the moment you need it is also the moment you can no longer get it.

The forum name is "Royal Caribbean Blog".  The hottest thread today is about being addicted to Royal Caribbean.  I'm pretty sure partiality is baked in here.
To paraphrase the words of Penn Jillette, "We are biased.  We always try to be fair, but we are biased as heck."
