  1. The last time I used my OBC was a few months ago. I had to click something to use it, it wasn't automatic. Maybe that's it?
  2. Cost. Many cruise lines used to do this and stopped for expense reasons. I remember seeing it about 10 years ago. I was fascinated at the sheer amount of food and the presentation.
  3. Enjoy every second!!!! The weather is fine here - your flight should have no issues. The snow is slush and already melting!!!
  4. Ooooof. I don't know what's happening. Looks like all of the information is finished updating.
  5. I think the person who told you all of this is talking out of their backside. Diabetics can't eat it because there actually is sugar in it...there aren't that many gluten free choices and they are clearly marked. It doesn't matter to many diabetics if it has 'less sugar' and someone who is gluten free wouldn't benefit from 'less gluten'. I think, as mentioned above, it's subjective.
  6. Absolutely nothing you can do unless you are actually handicapped. This is the chance you take by booking a handicapped room. I have a visible handicap and I wouldn't claim that kind of room unless it was close to sail since I don't truly need it.
  7. Shows haven't posted yet on the cruise planner. You'll have more of an idea once they do and the times are locked in.
  8. Keep checking the weather. The snow is starting tonight into tomorrow. By the time you board it should be okay - your hopes now are that EWR has a good snow removal plan. Either way - you're getting to your cruise.
  9. It told me yesterday my cruise was in ONE day so I wasn't allowed to make changes, so yes, there was something wonky going on yesterday.
  10. If you're staying at a hotel in Times Square I'd check with the hotel for their opinion. A car service or Lyft/Uber would be my pick.
  11. Very smart to go for the no plan plan. Enjoy every second.
  12. OOO! 127 days and I'll see for myself.
  13. Your pictures make me feel like I'm there. Thank you.
  14. That's awesome. My 7/7 date has never gone down since I booked in August, in fact, today it was higher than it's been in a while.
  15. If you're a woman with hair more than a buzz type cut the stuff does not work for shampoo. It's fine for body wash though.
  16. I fly out of Laguardia a few times a year, it's getting better lately - right now it's heavily under construction though. I get why your husband booked the hotel around there, it's way cheaper than the city. I would say do not waste your money using a taxi or Uber to get to the city. Use the LIRR (railroad) or the subway - but buy tickets before you board. It's not exactly cheap but it's not as pricey as a taxi or Uber/Lyft. If money isn't a problem use Lyft or Uber but keep in mind the day of the week it is or the time of day. Traffic is a mess all of the time, absolute worst during rush hours. Off hours and weekends you can be okay. I live about a half hour from LaGuardia but always give myself over an hour to get there. I can sorta help with train stuff, I know the LIRR, the subway I could ask someone.
  17. Good luck to you both. I'm not on a cruise at the moment but I'm doing it now - plan is to do it with some cheating built in for holidays for at least 2 months.
  18. No, no it doesn't. I'm rooming solo with a group and the cost - well I had to chalk it up to "I haven't gone on a real vacation in 2.5 years".
  19. Dunno if it's the best but I used cruisedeckplans.com
  20. Would do that but figure they'd mostly be over 60. Nothing wrong with that but I'm not there yet!
  21. Jeez...looks like I hafta now put "MUST HAVE DIAMOND OR HIGHER STATUS" on my dating profile.
  22. this is probably the only place checking obsessively is the norm...everyone outside of here thinks I'm nuts for checking so often...
  23. Never been there before but I booked The Hampton Inn (Cruise Port North) for my July cruise. It has a shuttle, free breakfast and is next to a strip mall (food, liquor store).
  24. lol. It's currently 75 degrees now. By the time you get back it'll be cold again.
  25. Not sure if it's 7 years but a good friend of mine became allergic to shellfish after growing up eating it...after a whole bunch of tests recently, tests involving skin, blood and actual eating tests she can eat what seems to be all except for shrimp.
