  1. The Deluxe Beverage Package does not include bottled water in the room. They have a dasani package on the cruise planner. You could also just get bottled water every time you're at a bar. This is what I do to stock up and not spend more but that's just me.
  2. Don't be so sure. We have our own sense of humor.?
  3. Well, it's somewhat controlled, depending on where you are. The cruises aren't likely to start up mid pandemic. Please know I say this as someone who has been home for 90 days and does more online ordering than shopping in stores and basically has a few circles but stays away from people. My area is in stage 3 of opening and I still won't go anywhere yet. At some point the what-ifs lessen...everyone has their own point. Also, the people who don't care about that stuff won't until or unless they get sick.
  4. It is but the curve was flattened there and the cases are way down. Not sure what's gonna happen after the protests though.
  5. When with friends my favorite parts of the day were sitting by the pool, reading, drinking and people watching. At night it's the after part, whether sitting at the table for too long or changing to comfortable clothes and sitting all together with an after dinner drink. Solo - reading everywhere and anywhere with a view. A meal on the balcony overlooking beautiful water. having a good conversation with a stranger. YES!
  6. I would say my drink schedule is about the same.
  7. I didn't have enough lemons for a pitcher. Used the drink pouches (think adult capri sun) and made one big one. Made enough for 8 shots.
  8. I made this for a few people last week. We turned it into shots. Loved it. I went slightly lighter on the simple syrup because I had a sugar rim and i don't like drinking candy.
  9. ....but these areas are highly populated with mass transit...so it makes sense. Public transport. Not a lot of personal space. A lot of travel, in and out of the cities. Can't speak for Canada, but in my own state it's happening in largely populated areas.
  10. Me. Pretty sure I didn't wish for any of this crap to happen.
  11. I can never make it trying to get one in my mouth. My wife was able to, but it made an sudden trip back out. That was our one experience with them. Never, ever sagain. Same. I can't even stomach the idea. It sounds like I should try but never. I have a odd fear of snails and slugs...I get scared and freaked out. More for you!
  12. Well @Suzie Q , as we told our friend who is also missing her 40th birthday celebration this year, you get to be 39 for another year. Covvid canceled your birthday.
  13. I'm no sheep and I'm tired of hearing this. I have a family member who works in a hospital and sees a lot of death. I have a friend whose job the last few months was to tell people they were positive. Both of them have seen a lot of death. Death from people who were supposedly healthy. This is my issue with people like you - just because I believe something doesn't mean I'm a sheep. Just because you disagree doesn't mean you're wrong. Stop calling people like me a sheep and I'll refrain from calling people like you something worse. Wear the damn mask or don't and deal with the consequences. OR DON'T. Disagreeing is one thing - name calling is another. I just don't understand why we can't disagree with respect.
  14. Yes. Yes. Yes. Not saying I'd be thrilled but GET ME ON A SHIP.
  15. Sigh. I just want to live in a world where this isn't our every day talk. I'm fine with a new normal. I'll wear masks if I need to. I'll learn to not touch my face as much. I just want to have this not be every topic of conversation. @JLMoran I don't mean to be a jerk on your post. This is valid information and I'm not directing my jerkiness at you.
  16. What year are you in? Are we still doing this? I thought we made progress with the whole "real men" thing. (if you're completely joking I'll step off) I've said this before. I don't care if I have to wear a mask to cruise if it gets me to vacation again. As long as it's realistic in my eyes, it's fine. Bars and restaurants, no. Muster, sure. While I understand people who refuse to cruise if masks are involved, personally I want to get out of my house again. I want life back again. I'll do whatever I need to keep myself and anyone around me safe. I hope for no masks but I'm ready for the new normal, whenever that is and whatever that means.
  17. 2 hours off of a my day back from no commute. I got an hour or two of sleep back per day. I've been cooking really great meals. My cocktail game is on point. I run a few times a week now at the track across the street. Edited to add a new hobby: while drinking (drinks I made that I've learned since the quarantine) with 3 other adults somehow my birthday came up and what to get me and now my family is getting me a paddleboard as my present so that will be my summer. (side note - next day I woke up and realized they lied to me about the price - they told me it was half of what it actually was - and I tried all day to make them cancel the order. ?. Don't get me wrong, I love and am super excited it but it's an expensive hobby to take up and since they spent so much I'm obligated to go.)
  18. THIS^^^ My only deal breaker echoes a bunch of people's here - mandatory quarantine afterwards. I don't give 2 effs about what I need to do - I've been working from home since March 13th. My cruise is the only thing I've been looking forward to. Not looking forward to flying though.
  19. Came here to post that. I live on Long Island and am forced to go to LGA for my Texas flights for price and airline choice. Ongoing work on a crappy airport. Once it's done it'll be great but I don't know if an end date in is our lifetimes.
  20. Your excitement comes through the screen. Nice to wake up to. I'm excited for you. I also use Michelle!
  21. This comes out as selfish I realize, but I need a few cases of "you first". I need people to sail and see they're okay...admittedly I don't know exactly what that means but I need for some time to go by to cruise. I don't think I need a vaccine to cruise though. I don't know how life will look on a cruise. I have issues when strangers stand too close to me to begin with. I ride mass transit (not for last two months) and already know when I get back the train will feel weird and unsafe. I already can see the fights breaking out because someone coughed or sat too close. If I need to wear a mask, sure. I don't care. I just want things somewhat back to normal or the new normal.
