Tylor Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Are beer and mixed drinks expensive on Royal? It would depend on what expensive means to you. A pina colada is around $6.25. Beer ranges from $4 to $7 depending on what brand it is. Frozen drinks range in price from $5 to $12 depending on size, whether or not you can keep the glass, as those drinks are more expensive. A martini is normally $8 or $10. If you want top shelf liquor it will be more expensive. Also you'll be charged a 15% bar gratuity automatically on top of the drink price. Matt Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Good answer Tyler. I agree expensive is a relative term but I find the prices for booze onboard to be fair. About what you would pay at any average bar/lounge/restaurant in USA. Probably only exception is there aren't many drink specials, if any at all. Quote

I don't pay attention to that because I order the same drinks whenever I'm onboard. Quote
Matt Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Yes there is and it's usually around $7-8 but you can ask for the drink of the day without the souvenir cup and bring price down a few dollars. Jeni 1 Quote
DAVE(Darkcabbie) Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 And let's be honest when you've had a few and your having fun who cares :) IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WELL EARNED VACATION. Matt 1 Quote
Tylor Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 And let's be honest when you've had a few and your having fun who cares :) IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WELL EARNED VACATION. Exactly! I don't spend thousands to go on a cruise and worry about a hundred I might spend on alcoholic beverages! trainer.stan and DAVE(Darkcabbie) 2 Quote
Bryce G. Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I find the prices fairly reasonable. Considering you can go to an amusement park and find a crappy beer for like $8.50. $7 for my Absolut tonic INCLUDING tip? Fine by me. Matt and trainer.stan 2 Quote
Pattycruise Posted July 9, 2022 Report Posted July 9, 2022 Drink of the day on Oasis is $10, that does not include a souvenir cup/glass nor does it include the 18% gratuity. Quote
SpeedNoodles Posted July 9, 2022 Report Posted July 9, 2022 They are way cheaper than in downtown Toronto. Some of you will understand. Quote

Ampurp85 Posted July 10, 2022 Report Posted July 10, 2022 Or try Chicago I utilize the drink of the day a lot......unless it is a mojito, not a fan of mint drinks. I am not a huge drinker, so my diamond/prime drinks are enough. Before that I would usually get the refreshment/soda package and buy 1-2 drinks a la carte. The drinks package seems like a lot when you can get bottles and mixers cheaper. However, if you think about what you normally spend to drink on a vacation, it really isn't that bad. Quote
