AndrewOfTheSeas Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Hello all, My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) are in a Junior Suite on Wonder next month. I was hopeful someone would be able to provide me with some insight regarding reservations at Coastal Kitchen. I have read similar posts on CruiseCritic and here, however none that are recent, so things may have changed... RC states Coastal Kitchen is"Exclusively for suite guests (available to junior suites for dinner) and Pinnacle Club members with confirmed reservations. How do you go about making a reservation as the app does not have a function to do this? (or am i missing something), or do i need to go in person to make these when we board? Also, has anyone in Junior Suites been able to dine at breakfast/lunch? Or is this a strict policy that its dinner only? Thank You. Quote

Ampurp85 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 There is a strict policy of no breakfast and lunch for JS guest. Remember this isn't a guaranteed perk, but subject to availability. As a JS isn't really considered a suite. I'm currently on Oasis in a JS. You must got to the host. They will make your first night reservations. Ymmv, I have heard on Wonder parties larger than 2 might have to go every day and make reservations. In our case the host told us after dinner the first night he might be able to schedule us for the remainder of the week. We were lucky and he was. But there have been people who could only get a day at a time. AndrewOfTheSeas, OCSC Mike and Ryan79 3 Quote
Ampurp85 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Another thing is whether or not you are in a Sky JS. I believe Wonder has those and you will get full suite benefits. In that case the concierge will reach out, a week before your sailing and schedule your dinner and shows. Breakfast and lunch is first come......... Ryan79 and AndrewOfTheSeas 2 Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 My recent experience has been that Pinnacles and JS can generally get dinner reservations at the CK for non-"premium" times....so either very early (5:30) or later (8:00 +). That is not to say that you can NEVER get a reservation between 6-7:00 but your odds of getting a reservation either early or late are probably best. I have heard of very few recent accounts where Pinns/JS cannot get access to the CK at all. Good luck !! AndrewOfTheSeas, twangster and Ampurp85 3 Quote

Good luck !! just got off Odyssey in a Jr Suite - went to CK shortly after boarding - couldn't get in that night, but he did put us in the next 2 nights - 7 & 730, then told us we had to keep making reservations after each night's dinner. So, we were able to reserve 2 days in advance for each night. We did get later times (8 & 830 , but were told we could show up little early & if they could seat us, they would. Besides the food & service, my favorite part was being out in an hour. WAAAYTOOO, Ampurp85 and AndrewOfTheSeas 3 Quote
jojo03 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 I was in JS on Oasis for 2 weeks during the Christmas and New Year’s cruise and I was able to eat at CK every evening at 5:30pm. I went to CK on boarding day at 4:00pm and made my reservation there. Jose booked us the first and second night only and told me to go to him after the second night to book the remainder of the cruise. On my second lag of the cruise, he automatically booked my family and I when he saw me on boarding day. A word of advice, I tipped him after the second night for booking us. It goes a long way. I also noticed though that it was not full in CK during my 2 week holiday cruise. AndrewOfTheSeas and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote

As for breakfast and lunch, it is a strict royal policy that JS are not able to come in for those times. If you show up, you will not be seated. THAT SAID...on a recent harmony sailing in a JS we got a call from Coastal Kitchen on the second to last day inviting us to lunch complimentary. We hadn't asked about it or anything like that, my guess is that numbers were low up there for lunches so they were offering dining to guests that normally wouldn't have been allowed. We didn't look a gift horse too much in the mouth so not sure if there were any additional factors that played into that (the fact that we were diamond, that we had only been in 1 other time that sailing, the fact that we only had 2 dinner reservations for the whole sailing etc). So...yeah..that happened and it is SUCH a YMMV scenario I only bring it up because it *did* happen not that it *will* happen AndrewOfTheSeas, Ampurp85 and WAAAYTOOO 2 1 Quote

Depends on how many are on the sailing to determine exact cut off. Supposedly they are also limiting Masters players. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote
