MattG
Hi everyone, We're cruising on Oasis in the next few weeks. When reviewing the recent Cruise Compasses, i've noticed no bands or (many) evening events taking place in the Music Hall. It seems unusual for RC to not be using an entertainment venue like this for long periods of time. Anyone know why? Is it the lack of a band on contract? Is it a technical issue? OCSC Mike
The house band played there on Wonder in June... they were... not the best. Neesa
WAAAYTOOO
Just now, OCSC Mike said: The house band played there on Wonder in June... they were... not the best. There's a house band on Wonder ? So far all we have seen are a couple of brass ensembles playing some tunes in Central Park. LOL Maybe we will finally see/hear them when we go to Effectors II tomorrow night.

I think "house band" is the right description. This wasn't Central Park type music. It was more like not great covers of random rock songs. Hope the cruise is going well. ScottD
I read a few months ago that they were cutting the tribute bands for the rest of the year. Which sucks, because we loved ending most of our nights upstairs at Music hall and listening to the Journey cover band a few months ago. We were hoping to have one next month when we go but that looks like it's not happening...on another note, I've also noticed that the past week or two and the next few on Oasis don't appear to have a Love and Marriage show scheduled, either Neesa and WAAAYTOOO 1
Laurie F
We seen an 80’s tribute band Back in the Day Band in February 23 and were Fantastic. All 5 nights with different sets and absolutely Rocked the Music Hall. We’re on the Wonder in December and hope to see them. Yes heard bands done for 2023 and hope not so. Va4fam
We really enjoy the cover bands and purposely booked Oasis/Quantum ships thinking we would get to see them. Agree with previous posters, the house bands work hard but it's not the same experience.
Babsy47
I don’t get it. Why cut back on entertainment when charging so much more for the cruise? It really does hurt the brand and that causes long-term harm to revenue potential.
TravisMA81
Is it just me or does the sound in the Music Hall kinda suck? I've popped in there a few times and it sounds like they're playing through some cheap karaoke speakers. The sound in the pub and Boleros sound so much better. There was never anyone in there too, it's kind of a waste of space. I could be wrong, but they should upgrade the soundsystem.
