why does thrill water park at coco kay cost so much money ? I understand Rc charging money for it and not including it in your trip , but even with the discount right now its $75 a person . It is basically  6 slides and wave pool . Your not going to spend the whole day at the water park - so why should it cost so much ?

Before the Black Friday sale, it was $139 for my March sailing.  @SpeedNoodlesis right on though, supply and demand.  Whatever price allows them to bring in the most revenue from the asset is where it will land.

It will be interesting with Icon when the onboard waterpark is a competitor to the PDCC waterpark.

Dang, I thought it was expensive when it was $75 for my upcoming Freedom and Liberty cruise. On the Black Friday sale it went down to $43 which I had repriced. $139 is a bit ridiculous for it and I probably wouldn't have paid for it at that amount.

Another thing to consider is, is your ship the only one in Coco Cay that day? If so the prices "shouldn't" be too bad. If there's another ship with you that day there will be more people who would want to go there (as well as the Coco Beach Club). Because of 2 ships worth of demands, Royal is going to jack up the prices of everything extra. So now everyone has to decide if it's worth it.

Maximum Capacity of Thrill Water Park as stated in June 2019 Trade Flyer is 1900.

2 ships with one an oasis Class puts Coco Cay at 10k+ so less than 1 in 5 can even get in no matter what they are willing to pay.

Look at the prices of Day Beds and Cabanas.

That is why almost every sailing from the SE coast stops there.

Yep... they will raise the price until people stop purchasing at that price. Coco Beach Club is even worse and varies from $88.99 to $268.99 !

Example of the waterpark pricing on our next 3 cruises:

This seems like the kind of price all water parks charge. I don't really see it as being out of the norm in terms of price.

When Royal is charging two to three times Disney rates? Ummm.

But seriously. This started with someone quoting a price of $75 with discount and thinking it was high. A Disney water park will currently run you $70. So yes $160 is out there, but the $70 - $80 figure is on par with others. Just the way it is. You can drop $40 to $50 on arcade games in under 30 minutes. At least this keeps them busy all day.
