  1. Well we made it. Woke up super early 3:30 am and got on our flight to Fort Lauderdale. Now I agree with everyone of flying in the night before not only for weather delays but we were exhausted by the end of day 1. We purchased the Key and it was well worth it. We got priority embarkation and the Lunch was fabulous. They did mess up our daughters burger but it was a communication issue. I ordered a plain burger and said meat only and the meat was withheld. Oh well plenty of food to be had elsewhere. Our room was 7408. Only a balcony price but the balcony is huge!
  2. My wife, daughter (9) and I are doing a Ship 2 Ship leaving tomorrow. Originally we had only booked Freedom but ended up adding on the Liberty sailing out of convenience. Unfortunately we are flying into Fort Lauderdale on the same day. I know it's a big no no but we are going to ask the travel gods to smile upon us. My wife and I both have relatively new jobs and had the Freedom sailing booked before we took them but we are going anyways. When we were planning we gave our daughter the choice of Carnival, Disney, and Royal. We showed her all the ships and the itineraries for each and she chose Royal. My wallet was extremely happy with her decision. My wife had the request of a balcony and I was really tempted to book a suite but ended up doing both Liberty and Freedom on balconies. We did purchase the Key for both sailings since we wanted the internet package and on Black Friday the sales only put it at a couple dollars more then the internet package alone. We also did the refreshment package for my wife and I and the soda package for my daughter. For the Liberty Sailing: 1. Staying on the ship for Nassau: Cupcake decorating for my wife and daughter, Flow Rider Lessons for the three of us. 2. Cocoa Cay: Waterpark passes For the Freedom Sailing 1. Nassau: Got day passes to Baha Mar Waterpark. We didn't see many reviews but it looked nice and it was significantly cheaper then Atlantis. 2. Cocoa Cay: Waterpark passes again but we will probably explore more on this time. 3. Sea Day: Rented a Casita so we wouldn't have to fight the chair hogs. My wife is eternally grateful. My daughter loves to swim and go on some water slides. She is extremely excited to go on a cruise. It is her first. My wife and I have sailed on Carnival in the past and this is our first time on Royal. We didn't purchase any specialty dining but we may on the next cruise depending on the food. We thought we would try the included stuff the first go around and go from there. Now I better go pack my stuff. Our flight leaves at 6:30am tomorrow!
  3. Same thing for me. They came through this morning from the Black Friday sail and they were all itemized even though I paid together for them. I have to go back and make sure everything was refunded as well because of this. Either way I'm glad it's taken care of especially since I sail in 6 days.
  4. It was in the cruise planner for me. I didn't see any of the other options the other poster listed though so maybe they are sold out of it?
  5. Thanks this helps. My daughter (9) had done it a bunch at different waterparks as well as my wife. I haven't done it before so the lessons would be welcome. I think we will stick with the booking for it. It will be fun experience for the family.
  6. None for me but next week we are doing a Ship 2 Ship on Liberty and Freedom. So almost all of the Freedom class ships in one week.
  7. I searched and haven't seen any really new topics on this but we booked this. Does anyone have any experience with it? It said a group of 4 is required but we only have 3 in our group. My daughter (9) has done the flowerier at Kahlahari numerous times and loves it. It's actually one of the reasons we booked with Royal. Is it worth the price? We booked it and it is during a port day but we were planning on staying on the ship anyways so that isn't a big deal.
  8. Now I'm confused. I'm doing a S2S in 10 days. We are going on Liberty out of FTL and then disembark on Monday and go down to Miami to get on the Freedom. Should I be doing something with RCL? We were planning on just taking a taxi or Lyft/Uber down to Miami from Fort Lauderdale but a free bus ride sounds good as well.
  9. If you have an iPhone you can add your Set Sail Pass to your Wallet. When you open up the pass in the wallet there is a barcode will have numbers at the bottom and the last four digits are the room number. I sail on December 16 and still haven't been assigned in the cruise planner my room. However, with the barcode "trick" I know I will be in room 6244. Hope this helps.
  10. As a follow up we ended up booking the Baha Bay waterpark for a fraction of the cost of the Atlantis. It looks nice and my daughter is excited for the lazy river and all of the water slides.
  11. Dang, I thought it was expensive when it was $75 for my upcoming Freedom and Liberty cruise. On the Black Friday sale it went down to $43 which I had repriced. $139 is a bit ridiculous for it and I probably wouldn't have paid for it at that amount.
  12. Well we bought passes for myself, wife, and 9 year old daughter. Some of the stuff I found online looks really good. With the Black Friday prices for our Freedom cruise in December it was $261 for the three of us total. Much better price then Atlantis. I'll come back and give a review after we travel. I was hoping to find out about the travel to get there as well.
  13. Anyone have any reviews or info on this? Just saw it pop up in the Cruise Planner and we are very tempted to give it a go.
  14. Never sailed on Royal before. What are you all talking about?
  15. Finally able to get in. Got Thrill Waterpark for $43.99. Refreshment drink package for $19.99 for my wife and I and soda package for the kid at $7.99. Also repriced the Inky set from $39.99 to $27.99. That was for the first of a two ship back to back we are doing (Liberty). We then repriced our Freedom sailing for the refreshment package for $19.99 as well. I did book Thrill waterpark for $43.99 for the Freedom sailing as well. Don't know if we will go to the waterpark both times or plan something different.
  16. Royal should be absolutely ashamed of this roll out. How do you not know or be prepared for your site to get slammed when you have this sale? As a new person to Royal Caribbean this is not giving me warm and fuzzy feelings. For people who are Royal veterans is the website always like this?
  17. I can view what the deals are but I can't reserve anything. It really frustrates me when a company lets this happen. Like what did you think was going to go on? Traffic would be slammed to your site. Scale up (unless they aren't in the cloud but that would be really surprising).
  18. I purchased shares a few days ago. Got the trade confirmation. I'm doing two consecutive saplings on Liberty and then Freedom so I sent a separate email for each sailing I have with the request sheet and the trade confirmation with all pertinent info blurred out. It was added the same day! Pretty fast turn around.
  19. We are in the same boat (literally and figuratively) on trying to decide what to do with our 9 year old daughter. The cost of the Atlantis is really prohibitive especially since we would be at Cocoa Cay for a fraction of the cost. Other than that there doesn't seem to be much else to do. We were thinking of staying on the ship. We are going in December so would like to know as well what other people suggest.
  20. What can actually be booked on the ships other then specialty dining? I'm sailing on the Liberty and Freedom in December. Are shows something I need to reserve when I get on the ship? What about ice skating (actually skating not the show)? I'm still puzzled over what needs to be reserved.
  21. Ok. Thank you all! I guess I overthink things a bit to much. I will enjoy the easy access to the Promenade for morning coffee.
  22. Hi all, I checked in with a GTY Balcony for Freedom in December. I thought I didn't care were I ended up but I guess I do. Through the barcode tricked I learned I will be in 6244 which is right across from the elevators. Is there any chance I can get moved? Now I don't care about obstructed balconies or anything like that but I'm concerned about the noise level right outside the cabin. Is it as bad as I'm thinking it will be? If I call will they even be able to tell what cabin I've been assigned and would they change it?
  23. I bought the set for my 9 year old who loves stuffed animals. She will be quite excited to see them in our stateroom next month. I am glad this showed up.
  24. If you have your heart set on a Oceanview balcony I would just book it. There is no guarantee that you will be upgraded with Royal Up.
  25. Also what were your bids? Thanks.
