RBo Posted March 3, 2022 Report Posted March 3, 2022 We will be sailing Diamond for the first time in a couple weeks on Odyssey (20Mar2022). A few days ago I saw a post from @Matt about Royal bringing back some C&A benefits, and among them was the "Chef's Choice Gift/Amenity". I am guessing this is probably some additional/nicer treats other than the Welcome Aboard cookie plate we had been receiving under Emerald. Am I close to being right with my guess? Quote
barjpoe Posted March 3, 2022 Report Posted March 3, 2022 Not really, I think we've gotten mini sweets, ie. like rice krispy treats, maybe a piece of cake , & other tiny treats WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote

The rest are usually pretty boring WAYNO and Psycho and Barb 2 Quote
HeWhoWaits Posted March 4, 2022 Report Posted March 4, 2022 Chef's Choice is whatever sweet treats are readily available (left over) from the last day of the previous sailing. Neesa and RBo 2 Quote
barjpoe Posted March 4, 2022 Report Posted March 4, 2022 I agree. The treats are left overs. I've seen them in the D lounge and the next day they were delivered to our stateroom. CruisingfromClayton, Neesa and RBo 2 1 Quote
Carmen P Posted October 9, 2022 Report Posted October 9, 2022 That’s terrible! Getting left overs as a treat for Diamond and Diamond Plus guests. I would expect better from Royal Caribbean. Quote

Okay, cruised Odyssey in March. The Chef's amenity was not memorable. But when we sailed Mariner to Bermuda on 9/11, Day 3 someone from showed up at our cabin door with chocolate covered strawberries and fresh petits fores. Scrumptious! khynzelman Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 I agree the amenity is usually repeats of what they have in the d lounge. But I do love the strawberries the most. The amenity I received on the Grandeur last week was a shrimp scampi, salmon w/ cream cheese, and grapes. I'm not sure who would want to eat warm fish on a plate that could have been plated hours earlier unrefridgerated. Maybe that's why they had a major Gastro virus outbreak on hat cruise. 70KToM Posted February 5, 2023 Report Posted February 5, 2023 We just had our first Diamond cruise. Exact same plate of cookies that we got as Emerald. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote
