cruisellama
I've started getting emails and calls from an RCL Next Cruise planning agent marketing future cruises. The messages started out thanking us for our Nov Oasis cruise then providing an offer to help plan future cruises. I haven't experienced that before. I usually work through my TA, but not received a call and message offer to do cruise planning. Its an RCL email address and 800 number with an extension. What was interesting is she's able to book June 2023 Caribbean cruises that aren't on the website yet, so a little suspicious. Should I be? AlmondFarmer
Wow, either somebody offering you early access to cruise bookings (awesome) or attempting sneaky access to your bank account (shameful) That said, I’d call.

I thought it odd that she could give me quotes on the 2023 Summer Caribbean season before they're posted on the website. I passed the info onto my TA tonight and she said not published yet. Whenever my wife is suspicious about a phone number, she does a reverse lookup on her phone to find out the name of the caller. That is something you could do quickly to allay your concerns. cruisellama

Should I be? Absolutely. Scammers are getting more clever all the time. Spouse just went through this with another "scammer story" and it was a nightmare. Sharla
Yeah search for the phone number, and if it's legit (and you want to book it) you can do that and then transfer it to your TA.
SPS
Me, if I was reading this "RC Next Cruise" email. Is "NextCruise" strictly an onboard service? I've never seen/heard new cruise planning referred to "NextCruise" outside of the actual cruise ships.

Even when I book on board, I find the deal isn't much better than my TA will get. I do find the NextCruise staff to be helpful though. twangster
I wonder if someone could create a company using something along the lines of Next Cruise or Nex Cruz or YoureNextCruise.com and begin marketing and selling cruises that don't exist. "I sell cruises and I am here to help with your RCL Next Cruise" sort of thing. Play with the words a bit and what we hear is "...an RCL Next Cruise planning agent" is calling. What is the email domain for the email you received?
instaGator
I received a similar thing a while back. Here it is:
