bobroo Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 Why??? I'm going to need a lot of people to explain to me why this was a good choice. I am all for public displays of art and grateful for those people and institutions that have the inspiration and money to do it. But RCL management could have made a better choice because this is going to haunt them. Quote
twangster Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 But it spins... Why will it haunt them? PS - it isn't real gold. The Cruise Junkie 1 Quote
Baked Alaska Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 Maybe they could have put it on a stick. . . Quote
NS8VN Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 Just because I wanted to look it up, if it were solid gold then it would be worth (as of today, March 2nd) $310 million dollars. That would be $60 million more than the cost of the entire terminal. Now, who wants to script the heist film? If we make it a sequel to "Like Father" we can probably get a good chunk of the budget from Royal. The Cruise Junkie, JLMoran, SuperStarian and 1 other 4 Quote

Movie worthy. The Cruise Junkie 1 Quote
Al Horner Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 Well, I hate to admit this, but I've been really looking forward to seeing terminal A and getting my own pictures of those propellers. I think they look very cool and are symbolic of getting ready to sail away on our cruise. Who knew I was so sensitive? Quote
mattymay Posted March 4, 2019 Report Posted March 4, 2019 What is there to explain?? A ship company displays propellers as art work - seems pretty logical to me! SpeedNoodles and The Cruise Junkie 2 Quote
Matt Posted March 4, 2019 Report Posted March 4, 2019 Why not? It's art and a great way to make their cruise terminal stand out as not just a glorified warehouse. JennyB 1 Quote
