jce2 got a reaction from Matt in Liberty of the Seas 06/04/2017 Trip Report
Oh Wow!!! This is why I read everything I can on this site and Liberty FB. You never know where/when you might gain valuable info. I had no idea there even were filters for Gopros. I bought a Hero5 Session a few months back specifically for my cruise underwater experience. Have only used it once. After reading your article I looked for filters on-line and sure enough found them. Thanks for the tip!

I'm one of those uber planners you speak of. I don't like surprises.

jce2 got a reaction from DocLC in PRINTING CRUISE COMPASS
Actually I found a "sorta" work-around. Bring the compass up to full screen. On a laptop press and hold the "function" [FN] key, and the Windows Key, and the "print screen" key together. This should take a snapshot and save to your pictures directory. Next you can flip the page and repeat! I was able just now to print the entire Liberty compass form June so I can mark it up a bit.

jce2 got a reaction from pamw in Middle Name
I believe Matt is exactly right. I have the same problem. My middle name worked just fine until I joined the Air Force who insisted in using my first name (actually a lot of otyher names too but we wont go into that!). Of course legal documents (including passports) will always use the first name.

jce2 reacted to jticarruthers in New drink package trials...
Yes as long as you leave at least one of the original names in the same cabin. (one name has to stay constant from beginning to end).
Looks like you could swap your wife and daughter around and then book the package for your cabin only.

jce2 got a reaction from Floski in New drink package trials...
So I realize any answer is purely speculative, but given the test is supposed to run thru November 18th, how soon thereafter would you think RCL could implement this across the fleet. Really hoping I can grab my drink package for my January cruise during a Black Friday sale.

jce2 got a reaction from RestingBird in Pulling Out of Falmouth?
A follow-on article from the same news source seems to shed a better light on what i happening and would seem to suggest very little actual change for RCL.

jce2 got a reaction from RestingBird in Pulling Out of Falmouth?
Keep in mind this entire rumor comes from a single, poorly written article in some on-line "news" source called "The Gleaner". How legit this source is remains unknown. Could be on the level of the Tines, could be on the level of Enquirer. A search of the internet finds no other references to a pull-out from Falmouth. Personally I am on my forst cruise in January and it stops at Falmouth but I would love to see it changed to Ocho Rios after all the troubles I read about Falmouth and it's relative remoteness from the attractions (Dunns Falls etc.)

jce2 got a reaction from RestingBird in RCL points
You have described my interpretation perfectly. It also appears to be a two step process. First, from the Bank of America site redeem your points for OBC "vouchers". Next, call RC and have those vouchers applied to your specific cruise. I am going to wait until mid-July and try it. I will certainly document my experience including whether these OBCs do indeed show up in planner for pre-cruise purchases.

jce2 got a reaction from Geema in Drink packages on Cruise Planner 290 Days Out!
Alas, I am 204 days out of my January cruise and still no drink packages. In fact half the time I click on it, the website crashes with some cryptic programming error. As a software developer myself, it amazes me how bad their website is

Aaah ok! We are on Liberty. Guess I mis-understood, but either way it looks like we are covered.

jce2 got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Liberty of the Seas 06/04/2017 Trip Report
Looking forward to the rest of your report. I am getting ready to go on my first cruise in January and for reasons that defy explanation I find myself going out to the Galveston webcams every Sunday to see Liberty. I saw the crane and delay last week.
