  1. My gut feeling is it cant be done.....but it shouldnt be that difficult to build your own "melded" calendar on outloook or google or some other calendar product. Not quite the same but should work
  2. For me, Southwest almost always is the cheapest flying out of Denver. My April-May cruise dates arent open yet but using March as a test I can fly round trip to Hobby for just over $300. The cheapest I can do other airlines is $265, but any money saved is easily surpassed by baggage fees. That combined with the far superior "service" I recieve form SW employees makes this a virtual no-brainer for me. FYI" Southwest will release thru Jne of 2019 on September 27
  3. For last years caribbean cruise, my family got the passport card which worked just fine (no need to discuss pros and cons here!). In 2020 we are planning an Alaska one-way out of Vancouver. We probably WILL upgrade to the book but if we dont, isnt it true that we could fly into Seattle, rent a car and drive to Vancouver (thus not needing the book)? Likewise flying back to Colorado form Anchorage also should not reqire the book.
  4. I would assume because the Cruise Ships expressed concern and reluctance to keep booking excursions that used those ferries
  5. Just FYI: I am reading rumblings over on FB that this month folks are getting notices that their Glacier Dog Sled Expeditions are getting cancelled, presumably because the ice has gotten to soft.
  6. Is size an issue? Of course! (bt that has nothing to do with ships......) As for culture shock, i am either totally insensitive or it doesn't exist. Sailed on Liberty in January and absolutely loved it! I didn't really notice any "Texas Vibe" when I was on board, and had a surprisingly great time in Galveston despite arriving there expecting nothing more than a place to lay-over till the ship left.
  7. Matt reports it is included in the "Refreshment" as well, I just wish they listed it in the official ad.
  8. If this is important to you I would recommend either carrying a copy of the above mentioned e-mail with you, or better yet write to RC yourself for clarification.
  9. I must agree. If you are close enough to be attacked, then you are clearly in THEIR SPACE. Wild life is just that, wild. I have no problem with folks observing wild life from a good distance, I have no problem with rescue centers that allow controlled access to the animals. But when you are out in their environment, on their turf, keep your distance. If you are close enough that they are aware of you, and close enough that they alter their behavior because of your presence, you are too close!
  10. I look forward to your review! I am really hoping to book an Alaska cruise for 2020 when RC opens them up. haven't decided on doing the land portion as it is expensive but definitely want to see Alaska
  11. Just wake me up when the drinks go on sale for my April trip ;)
  12. I just saw a post on FB (Either Liberty or C&A) where a customer said they could not purchase the drink package on-line. Further they said they called RC and were told you can no longer pre-purchase but must wait till you are on broad. seems unlikely but in the responses several others said they too were able to place it in their cart but not check-out. Anyone have info on this? I cant believe RC would actually do this.
  13. Ok, Labadee and Cococay make sense
  14. "Bundling the excursions" ???? What does that mean?
  15. The hardest part is convincing yourself it ain't hard! People have a tendency to "compensate" for the breathing tube when there is no need. Just breath normal!! One way to help is to start breathing thru the tube before you even go under so you settle into it.
  16. Keep in mind that opinions, especially when it comes to "tastes" are extremely subjective. I found the coffee on board Liberty to be perfectly okay.
  17. On our first cruise (Liberty) we ate at Choppes (FNDR) the first night. For the rest of the week we had signed-up for MTD and had preselected the same time for each night. On Monday we sat at one table and had a good waiter. On Tuesday we had a different table and a different waiter. We really enjoyed our new waiter as well as the location (in the back, right side of the dining room). After dinner I simply approached the Maitre De and asked him if we could please have the same table every night (but keep MTD!). He made a note in his system but said he could not "promise". sure enough, for the rest of the cruise we enjoyed the impeccable service from Christobol. We plan on doing essentially the same thing on our next cruise (April 2019). No guarantee Christobl will still be there but we are hopeful. MTD is the way to go!
  18. When I traveled in January we simply linked the reservations together on-line and then used MTD. We preselected our time for each night and as we chose each night, the on-line system gave us the option of adding other diners. when we selected that option it then presented us a list of the other names that were linked to our reservation. It was simple, easy, and worked without needing to call anyone. Of course, since then we have experienced the "Great Web Update" and my next cruise doesn't present dining options yet so I have no idea how badly they may have screwed it up.
  19. My adult son and his wife stayed in promenade deck 8 on Liberty and loved it!
  20. Yea, 97 makes sense too as that was the year of perihelion. I just chose the year of discovery.
  21. Hey Hayley, I just got to ask...were you born in 1995?
  22. Strangely enough, Deck 4 chairs by the shuffleboard court! While our wives were off at cupcake class, my son and I just sat there, shared a drink and talked life. Most relaxing moment of the trip (even though neither of us cared for the drink (Dublin Ice Tea)
  23. worked perfectly for flowrider and climbing wall on my Liberty cruise in January. Pre-signed months in advance
  24. Wasn't even aware they used gravy! all the pictures folks hav posted look like nothing more than dry roast beef on a bun. When we made Beef on weck we would take the sliced beef and dump it in a big pot of gravy, then heat the whole thing. Once folks were ready to eat, we simply slopped some beef onto kemmelwick buns. Made freaking awesome food for a tailgate!
