  1. Is that for real??! I love it! Too bad it's not a tank. I am not a t-shirt girl.
  2. In your cruise planner under "entertainment". If you are not sailing Oasis or Quantum Class, there won't be show reservations.
  3. Lucky for me, I am not. Let's go Pens! Hubby is the die hard Leafs fan so unfortunately I watch all Leafs games.
  4. You only need to book shows on Oasis and Quantum class ships. Smaller ships in the fleet, it's first come first serve. I have also heard that on Freedom class ships, you might need tickets. But those are complimentary and you can only get them once on board. I have not sailed Freedom class yet so I cannot verify that.
  5. We always bring a spare card (old seapass card or some card that we no longer use) to keep the power on. The reason why we do that is to keep the room cool. I am not certain that the air goes off if you take the card out but since all the other power goes out, I've always assumed the air does too.
  6. Can someone post a link or pic of a USB hub that has been allowed on board recently? Or are they all allowed? With the girls getting older, we might need one on Indy since we are all crowding into an ocean view cabin....
  7. @JLMoran, @ellcee, and @Broons77 Wishing you all a wonderful and safe sailing!!! Very excited for you. Anthem is a great ship, you will no doubt have a great time. @JLMoran cannot wait to hear all about your adventures in CK. ?
  8. Congrats @Matt! On building a wonderful and welcoming community for all of us who share a love of cruising!
  9. Here are a blog post from @Matt to help you decide: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/05/18/spotlight-labadee-beach-loungers And here is one from @KLA from Coco Cay (which I am assuming is the same lounger set up at Labadee): https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/09/07/review-beach-loungers-cococay
  10. Usually by 30 days out, many things are already booked up. Check that cruise planner way ahead of time. There is so much truth to that. On Oasis and Quantum class ships, my bookings for entertainment have varied from as early as 169 days out to about 90 days out. Our Harmony entertainment for March 2019 just opened up this week at 150 days out. There is no rhyme or reason to it...
  11. Harmony no problem...Anthem and Mariner they would only allow one. Must vary from ship to ship and crew.
  12. I need a cruise...school was super hectic today. Is it a full moon? Lol. The only thing that kept me sane was my "Keep calm and cruise on" sign on my desk ?
  13. Just another example of how it really does vary from ship to ship and from sailing to sailing. @bellemiche just texted me this morning and told me that entertainment opened up for our March 2019 cruise on Harmony. That is 150 days out.
  14. We did. 1104. And we did not find Mariner to be overcrowded.
  15. Thanks for blogging Raye. Enjoyed following along!
  16. Kids 6-12 is $10 each. 0-5 free (I think). You cannot book the kids rate online. Book adults and add kids in once on board.
  17. When are you sailing? @melski94 is sailing Indy in about a month and she has 4 kids so she can probably give some good feedback. And I am sailing December 29 with 2 kids (ages 10/12) and I'll be blogging so if you are after that I'll be happy to "investigate" the crowding situation for you ?
  18. I have always been open and upfront about that. Retire and move to Florida (part time) is definitely in the plans! ?
  19. Thank you for posting this. I have held back on commenting on this post, but you have summed it up perfectly!
  20. I have read very similar things to what you are referring to and I am not worried. In fact, I have two cruises booked on Indy already. You will find that those who like to complain will always find something to complain about. And I have feeling that a lot of those "bad" reviews are coming from those who were devoted to Indy before her revitalization. There are quite a few of those out there. Point is, you will never know until you try it. Don't just take someone else's word for it. And read all reviews with a grain of salt. For all the bad ones I have read post revitalization, I have also read many good ones. I personally would not cancel over that. By the way, welcome to the message boards!
  21. Favour...the next time you are out on Deck 11, do you think you could grab a pic of the slide requirements for the H20 zone? Just message it to me or post, whatever is easier. Thanks! Really enjoying this blog. Hubby actually took a look too last night at your pics and we definitely want an itinerary like this that leaves from Quebec City.
  22. Believe it or not, I am thankful for that timeline. My Star Class final payment is due at the end of November and I was worried that I would be putting down at least 2 more deposits (on new itineraries) just before that. Now at least is after that. So mixed blessing. Longer wait but a better November lol.
  23. I should not have, but I laughed so hard at this! Note to self: If you are a baby on board, I have no clue where that would leave me. Putting this cruise on the 10+plan. ? but definitely before Alaska...
  24. FLL is my Plan A. But if flights remain at $550+pp one way, I might have to consider other options. That's why I was thinking of PBI. Didn't even think of that. Thanks Tony!
  25. The way to make sure that you dine together is to a) link your reservations b) everyone has to select either My Time Dining or Traditional. As far as I know, you cannot jump from My Time to Traditional. Someone else might have a different experience....
