I can't vouch for the accuracy of this rumor, but a crew member on Liberty of the Seas told us today that they will be repositioning to Bayonne, NJ after April 2018 and then possibly on to China. No word on which ship might replace Liberty in Galveston.

Just saw a post on facebook and done a little research, it seem the shipsmare rhapsody and grandeur and are up for sale.

I'm currently on Ovation of the Seas and about 6 hours out of Noumea (New Caledonia) sailing towards Vanuatu. About 10pm the captain informed the ship that it had turned around and was heading back to Noumea to perform an intercept with a rescue helicopter (The first you actually knew something was wrong was when the captain called for rapid response teams to man their stations and for group 3 & 4 to attend to x station). About an hour and a half later (roughly 11pm) the ship met up with the Helicopter who first dropped medical staff on board, circled the ship for about 15 minutes, landed again to pick up the patient and medical personal before heading back to Noumea.
 
Apparently a young boy hit his head rather badly on the Flowrider (stand up so must have been over 14) was unconscious for some time and had suffered server concussion (I imagine they would also be worried about neck and spinal injuries as well). With a serious concussion I imagine the on board medical staff would not want to take any risks and would want him in an ICU asap where they can monitor swelling and any possible bleeding etc (Being an ex paramedic that would certainly be what we would have called for if we were first on scene if that was the symptoms and backstory). Obviously the nature of the injury is 'ships rumor' as only the attending medical team would have all the facts etc
 
The captain kept the ship informed every 30 minutes and after the evacuation was completed thanks his staff and the New Caledonia authorities for a text book. This was obviously a well practiced scenario for the crew and from the outside it seemed the whole situation was handled very well. We have now turned around and on the way to Vanuatu at 21 kts (Captain apologized we'd be late.... I really don't care if we missed the port entirely if it meant the kid got the medical attention he needs... no apology needed at all!) 
 
My thoughts are with the teenager and his family and I hope the injury is not serious and after some observation he his fighting fit soon with few lingering concussion symptoms (Which from experience unfortunately can take months to dissipate).

Local newsites in New Zealand are reporting a women suffered serious spinal injuries on Legend on the Seas yesterday. She was airlifted off the ship at 12:30am using night vision goggles approximately 32km south west of Wellington by rescue helicopter (Wellington is the Capital of New Zealand and a regualr stop by cruise ships).

I just got off the phone with RC about moving some reservations around and the representative said "the remainder of 2018 will open in January if you want to wait to move this reservation that's only a couple of months"! Does this seem earlier than normal or does she not know what she's talking about? Either way my mind is racing with new possibilities that could await in a few short months. Here's hoping she's right ðŸ»

I think that Oasis 4 will probably go to Miami because shouldn't RCCL's new terminal be done by then? I do think that they will move one of their Oasis class ships out of Florida, though. Who knows maybe they will even switch one of the Quantum Class ships with an Oasis class. Then will finally be a Quantum Class ship in Florida.

So I read someone's comment that perhaps Oasis 4 will be going to China. You really think so ? I'm betting on Europe.

Did a detailed spreadsheet comparing buying drinks individually versus the package, and gave RCCL the benefit in the spreadsheet of not including the 18% gratuity per day.  So, if the wife and I bring on 2 bottles of wine, and we drink about 3 drinks per day (6 total, 3 per person), we came out about $100 ahead buying our own drinks. I used a $10 price per drink as an estimate -- House wine is about 8 bucks a glass, as i recall. It all has to do with how much you drink to determine if it's a good value for you.

Has anyone heard any details regarding Royal Caribbean's "More to Love" Ship Enhancement Program; certainly less advertised than the bigger, longer planned Refurbishments Pregram.  I recently came across a revitalization schedule that shows Royal Caribbean's planned ship refurbishments.  The schedule includes some of these low key "More to Love" Enhancements.
 
I'm particularly interested in learning anything about the enhancements planned for Radiance in May 2016.  I will be sailing her south-bound in Alaska on May 27 2016. I have noticed a gap in Radiance sailing schedule once she reaches Vancouver (following her transpacific crossing) and right before she starts the Alaska season - dry docking in Vancouver. Looking forward to some new sparkling surprises once I board!

Fort Lauderdale to replace Allure of the seas. It makes sense

In the previous decade I bought shares at $44.88 and sold them around the $8 level.  They eventually bottomed out at $5.35 or thereabouts.  I decided that I'd rather give them my money by paying for bookings vs. buying shares....at least I'd come home happy. :)

Does anyone know when Enchantment's dry dock is scheduled for 2017? Just booked a Thanksgiving cruise on her and hoping it's before then! :) Never sailed on her but after Michael Poole's strong and constant endorsement I'm excited to check her out!

Rhapsody was supposed to go in some time in December ..... I wonder if the schedule has been pushed back on other ships due during the early part of 2017.

Anyone going on a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale today have any trouble getting there?  Between the incident at the airport yesterday and the storm in the South today, I thought it might be challenging.

Does anyone else want a cruise Through the Panama canal, old one or new one, in 2016 /2017 on RCCL besides me???  Every time I ask RCCL about this itinerary, specifically one from San Juan PR  TO San Diego CA, I hit a wall.  No one knows if or when that itinerary will  be posted nor can they give me a reason WHY. 
I'm hoping for some group pressure from others who only want to sail RCCL and want to do Panama Canal in the NEAR future.

Anyone know if RC is planning something with Empress? It looks like they have nothing scheduled for her beyond this coming April, but I haven't seen anything about them selling her or sending her back to Pullmantur or anything. Only thing I've come across is an article about them maybe homeporting her in Cuba sometime in the not-too-distant future. Cruise law news i think was the source, not sure about its legitimacy.

For anyone interested, I noticed 3 cruises to Cuba available for booking.

We were supposed it get our first visit from Ovation of the Seas in Dunedin on Thursday but it looks like it'll will forgo Dunedin due to weather (which is interesting as the forecast is brilliant and Radiance of the Seas is still scheduled in port that day. I guess it must be along its rout to Dunedin etc).
 

 
We were really looking forward to seeing ti as we are sailing on her late Jan... I believe it might eb in port a couple of times before then so we will still get a chance I guess.
