on the first day of your cruise you will meet your stateroom attendant. At that point request that he brings you Ice in your ice bucket everyday. You do not need to give them an additional tip as long as you do the standard gratuities. I do this every cruise and works out great.

Do you play slots or table games? Slots will get you points and comps much quicker than table games.. To get an offer for a free interior room cruise you need 2,400 points. I believe Oceanview is 3,200 points but it might be 3,600 I forget. Then Balcony is 4,800 points and junior suite I think they made that 8,000 points.. I normally walk away with either the interior or Oceanview offer.

to get benefits you need to earn points. You earn points by either putting your room key in the slots or if you play table games giving it to the dealer to get scanned in. The only way to get benefits is to gamble a very good amount. If you plan to spend $100 or $200 don't count on getting any benefits. I play Blackjack and gamble 4-8 hours per day at $25-$50 a hand and still I am only going to be In their "Prime" 2nd tier level.

I just want to Clarify that's the list for free interior room.. Free Balcony rooms often have a different list.

Empress, Majesty, Enchantment, Vision, Mariner, Navigator, Liberty, Indy, Oasis, Allure, Harmony, Symphony, Quantum, and Anthem for me... So thats 14 Ships. But some ships I have no desire to go on so I also will never end up doing them all..

I prefer to go to a restaurant because then they are standing infant of the computer and I know the reservation is getting done properly. If you do it with someone standing there they don't know what times are available and all they can do is take down your request, go back and check, and then if it isn't they have to contact you its annoying. Much easier to go to a restaurant and get it done for peace of mind.

pick 1 restaurant and they can make all the reservations for you there for the week for all the places you want to go.

Newbie questions about Club Royale
AGSLC5 replied to JohnScribbles's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I actually like not having to get points every cruise. There are some short weekend cruises I go on with friends and I don't have time to gamble so for me being able to keep to a level for a whole year works. -
The Allure doesn't have Solarium bistro for dinner.. They have a totally different restaurant up there called Samba Grill.. That costs money and it not the same restaurant as Solarium Bistro.. All other Oasis class ships have just regular Solarium Bistro and they are free for dinner. Sorry for the confusion.
-
It has been Free for Dinner for awhile now too. There is one item on the dinner menu that costs money and that is the Lamb Chops they cost $10 but everything else is free for dinner.
-
I don't think Park Cafe is open for dinner but I could be wrong.. Also Sorrento's is not really a dinner place its just a quick place to grab a couple slices of pizza. I guess you could technically eat there for dinner but if it was me I would either eat in Main Dining Room again or Windjammer.

Ultimate Dining package but no sea days (Lunch included?)
AGSLC5 replied to Jedi Jason's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
I buy the Ultimate dining package for every sailing including 3 night Mariner sailings. They always let me use it for lunch on the First day as long as the restaurant is open. There was one time when oddly the restaurants weren't open for the first day. -
How Long Does Specialty Dining Take?
AGSLC5 replied to WannaCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
If you eat at 5:30 which is right when they open you will be fine being done by 7:30.. Also tell your waiter you have a show. They won't rush you but they will make sure the kitchen does a good job with getting the food out on time. Also Chops, Jamie's, and 150 are Excellent! you can't go wrong with any of them -
What does Platinum Choice mean on SetSail
AGSLC5 replied to Kirk B's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
has to do with the casino. two separate programs. Platinum is from crown and anchor and Choice is the lowest level of the casino -
No This can't be done. I wish it could but they won't combine offers Trust me I have tried lol

I know for a fact you have to wait until April 1. And it doesn't come in the mail or an email its just a code they type in so don't wait for anything to come. On April 1 just call and say I want to use my Prime annual cruise and they will book it for you..

Our First Cruise! We choose RCI...but have some ???'s
AGSLC5 replied to Kansas Eagle's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Same thing happened to me on Allure AND Anthem. Ever since then we always carry our luggage off. Even if I am in a suite. On the Allure cruise we were in a Suite and they still lost our bags so I just don't trust them. -
Casino Royal / Roulette Players / Getting Correct Payout
AGSLC5 replied to RBRSKI's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
If you made the one bet and left You probably got Maybe one point.. points for table games go by how many hours you play and what your average bet per hand or spin is.. So if you played that one spin I can't imagine you got many points -

AGSLC5 replied to tonyfsu21's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Tony Im looking at the weather channel and we are about to come back down to 49 tonight lol. But it said Thursday it will warm up -
Don't take this to sound rude its not meant that way just informative. I have been on 60 Royal Caribbean cruises and I am Signature in the Casino so I do spend a lot fo time in there lol. I also before I get on buy dining packages and drink packages but they DONT treat you any different or better just because you spend money online before you go. They expect you to do that. Don't get me wrong the casino staff is always very friendly and nice to me and I get a certificate every time plus champagne, cookies, and fruit sent to my room but that's IT. They don't comp you restaurants they only take $20 dollars off for every 1000 points you get and then of course once your prime you get free drinks in casino and the 5% fee waved to take money out on the card and then I like since I'm signature I get one free Voom device. All I am trying to say is please don't go into it thinking because you bought packages before hand they will treat you better like I said Royal is basically expecting people to do this thats why they made drink prices so high and food in the dining room and windjammer so bad in my opinion. Some people say its wonderful but in my opinion its awful. Anyway I hope you have a wonderful time on your first cruise and just understand the comps are not like Vegas or AC and you will be fine.

Oasis dry dock is Right AFTER the Euro season this year. Basically once its done In Europe they will begin the dry dock in October and it will get to Florida just in time for the Thanksgiving cruise. So If Allure does the exact same thing then No it will not be Amped for the Transatlantic you are looking at

Priceline Express Deals for Hotels (Thanks Matt)
AGSLC5 replied to cruiselife's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I personally live 10 min from this hotel. Its in a good area. If you don't have a rental car you can take about a 10 min Uber to various restaurants, shopping, and movies. I would suggest Westfield Broward Mall, or Sawgrass mall.. Sawgrass mall has many more options but both are good. -
Are Alaska cruises usually pricy (2019)?
AGSLC5 replied to Sergio's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Alaska is always more expensive than the Caribbean. If you want the best deal for an Alaskan cruise you need to book as soon as they release the Itineraries. I believe they just released the 2020 ones you should look at those if you want the best deal. -
I also want to know where you have heard of these upgrades being so popular? I go on cruise forum sites all day long and most people say the same thing it is so HARD to get an upgrade. Also the Royal UP program gets emailed to you. Make sure Royal has your email address as that is the only way you can Bid. Basically about 120 days or less before your cruise Royal looks at all the inventory it has on your sailing and sends people Bid offers through Royal UP. It tells you what the Min you can bid and what a strong bid would be. Even if you bid a strong bid Royal is under no obligation to accept your bid. If you really want a window or balcony room the only way to make sure it happens is to buy one. Hoping for a free upgrade is just not going to happen. As I said 45 Royal cruises and I never even got one call to upgrade. Also The Royal UP program is not free and sometimes just calling Royal and paying the difference in the room is less than what they want for a bid. Sorry this is not the news you were hoping for but I do hope it all works out for you.
-
Upgrades for free or little cost are very Rare. To put it into perspective for you I have been on 45 Royal Caribbean cruises and I am Diamond Plus and not once been offered an upgrade. Also Royal Caribbean just implemented their new Royal Up program. Its a program where you get an email to bid on room upgrades. Really the only way I think you will get an upgrade is if you get an email to bid and win your bid or if you call and pay what the upgrade is. Sorry that's not the news you wanted to hear but Even Matt the man who runs this page has said he has never just got a free upgrade.
