  1. Mine indeed now also has the view itineraries link again. I guess I should have put it down to what seems to be common for Royal, an I.T glitch. Note to self, if Royals I.T does not behave as expected, wait a week and try again.
  2. So I’ve noticed a few small tweaks to the club royale offers website in the last few months, namely the ability to look up available itineraries for a specific code offer or cert code. However, it never works for me. After what seems a drought of offers recently, for me anyway, I now have some loaded but have no way it seems of seeing what itineraries are available. The link which used to be once present next to the offer no longer ever seems to appear. Has anyone else managed to view itineraries or have a successful work around? I just want to browse what’s being offered and don’t want lengthy phone calls to Club Royale in order to find out.
  3. Well, after many many phone calls to both the U.K. and U.S. Prime call centres I believe I may have managed to get my Prime cert applied to an existing booking, this was an online booking made on the U.K. website and that was what caused me so much drama. So on my Prime e-mail it had a U.K. phone number, so I called this and straight away was shot down, only able to apply this on new bookings but feel free to e-mail Club Royale they told me. I then call the Club Royale Prime number in the U.S. who tell me I could do it, it is a thing but as it was a booking made on the U.K. website, the U.S call centre are unable to apply it and I should ring the U.K. I call back the U.K. office and would you believe it, same rep answers, but I proceed to tell them that the U.S. prime rep told me I can very much do it and you should crack on and get it done. Off she goes to speak to her supervisor, comes back and tells me "OK Sir, I can do this but I will have to re issue you a new invoice and forward it to head office which will take of the discount and send you another new invoice in 3-4 weeks which will reflect the discount correctly" Am I confident this will happen, nope. I did get an amended invoice which indeed displayed my cert number etc and some form of discount but with the cabin rate repriced much higher than I booked. So we will see, I will await my new invoice with hopefully only taxes and gratuities due etc. I'm off on Harmony next week so I'm going to forget about it for now and see what happens. Moral of the story for me is I will not be pre booking in future with the expectation of applying my prime cert, I will just book a new cruise when I get them. It is just to much of a ball ache booking on the U.K. site and then having to deal with Royals nonsense. I have booked many a free monthly or instant cert direct no problems, the problem seems to lie solely in the fact that Club Royale does not play nice with bookings made outside the U.S., the U.S. rep could not even see my booking on their system.
  4. Well I can confirm this was indeed the case. The cert was loaded at around 9pm UK time today the 24th. I shall be calling tomorrow to get it applied to my existing reservation in September.
  5. I have still not seen my Prime comp loaded into my account yet so not sure if I can even attempt to book yet. I have an existing booking I wish to apply mine to when I get it and hopefully being a UK departure port will not be sold out of Casino comp rooms by the time I do eventually get my comp loaded. Not sure if I should just ring and try to get it sorted. Is a rather expensive exercise calling from the UK though sometimes. I do call the toll free number via Skype to get around the charges but this does not always work
  6. Wow Cathy, that is some serious itinerary for your few days in London but sounds good. Being a native I would say you have most of the better thing I would recommend on your list already. Windsor Castle is an absolute favourite of mine, be sure to accept the audio guide and don't rush around the place and I'm sure you will find the place fascinating. I will have to get looking at shore excursions myself soon, will sure have a look at some of the things you have planned as a starting point. Oh and Camden market is worth a look, offers a decent amount of street food along with other unique stalls/sellers. Can get pretty lively also at times.
  7. Hi Cathy, Nothing booked up as yet and if I'm honest, I've not even began to plan shore time yet. Planning will begin in a few weeks when I return from my Harmony of the seas trip the first week of May. What have you opted for out of interest? Where in the world are you travelling in from? I'm assuming not the UK based on the spelling of Mom, forgive me if I'm wrong. If you need any advice on your time in London please ask
  8. Oh it has been a long 18 month countdown and whilst a few of us have been lucky enough to cruise, including myself, a few times since this was booked this, this is by far the trip we have been looking forward to the most. We are fortunate that on this trip, we have a week post cruise staying in Florida for a mini road trip, Key west, Naples amongst other places on a whistle stop tour. We don't really have much planned for time whilst in port, will be our first time in Philipsburg and San Juan so we are just going to explore by foot and if all else fails, we will dump ourselves on a beach for a few hours. May I wish you all a fantastic sailing also.
  9. First cruise visiting Norway and its a way off yet but anyone else on this itinerary and dates?
  10. 21 days to go. Have had this booked for 18 months now and am excited to get back on an Oasis class ship. Not done Harmony before and will miss El Loco Fresh, having has this on Wonder and Symphony, which is a firm favourite with the family.
  11. Just thought i would give an update on this as might be of interest to some. As soon as April 1st past, I noticed my Set Sail Pass updated reflecting and displaying my Casino Royal Status. I'm guessing it turned out to be an IT issue when the passes are issued shortly prior to the end of the current Casino year. One less thing to have to do now on Day 1.
  12. This site: sargassum monitoring might help research the situation in any given destination. Includes photos and videos on Google maps of multiple beaches etc within the Caribbean and beyond. Photos and videos appear to be user uploads.
  13. Well I feel better that I am not alone with it not showing on the set sail pass. Of course being displayed on the Set Sail pass is of no real benefit, at least for prime members, like others have said the main benefit to prime is free drinks in the casino which by the time it’s open, physically sea pass will be in hand. I was just concerned this was a sign that it would not show on the card also. I know a visit to the host will have it sorted in an instant but I’m sure like most, we all like to have everything in order so we vacation as soon as we board without having to visit guest services etc. Interesting that even those on b2b have had it displayed on one sea pass but not the other. Maybe it is an I.T. glitch which occurs whilst the casino transitions from one year to the next.
  14. Is it common for casino tier status to not show on the set sail pass prior to boarding? On all my previous sailings my Prime status has been displayed on my set sail pass directly next to my Crown & Anchor tier. This is not the case on my upcoming Harmony sailing for April. Is this a common error that people have witnessed before but it has been correctly displayed on the physical sea pass, or is it likely if it’s not on the set sail pass it will not be on my sea pass and therefore a trip to guest services or the casino host will be needed. One thought, is it possible that due to sailing within next years Casino tier year, which I will be Prime again, the system does not recognise or display tier status beyond this year and it will update a show correctly on April 1st.
  15. And just a random fact for those who have not done a Mediterranean cruise on Oasis class, due to the fact passengers both embark and debark in both Barcelona and Rome, those that embark in Rome usually get orange sea passes whilst those joining in Barcelona get the traditional blue.
