The RCI website is about as reliable as a stormtrooper's aim.

Interior Cabins on Freedom
RestingBird replied to bayousteelers's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yup, throw your feet up, and watch TV, read, or whatever. -
Yup, be on the first one. Depending on how many ships are there, it could be a longer trip. Princess had a ship there, and they were closer to the dock than Serenade which we were on.

Plus...double C&A points ?

Someone else asked this same question a few months ago, so now I kind of want to see what people do on Disney doors, lol. You'll see a few decorated on RC. Some people do name plates with their kruise kritik or RCBlog screen names.

Please tell me about Serenade of the seas
RestingBird replied to cjappert's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
To save 5k I'd take Serenade too. Take Anthem when there's no deal, or another deal to be had. -
lol, my friends and I say "pics or shens". Show us the proof or we'll be pulling some shenanigans on you for trying to fool us.

We went once for food on Freedom, not expecting a gourmet burger, so for what it is, it's good. There's no singing and dancing (that we saw). My wife loves milkshakes (they were free with our C&A discount), so we went back just for that later in the week. We had no issues with food. Sounds like firegal ended up with a lazy worker, which is too bad. We met a worker from Russia who loved working on the ship, and was trying to work her way up the chain, so she had to work at each restaurant to get the experience needed. We ran into her in port one day and chatted with her, then went back to JR on our last day to say goodbye. She cared about her work, and the customer being satisfied.

We went to Stewman's in Bar Harbor, in between excursions, and absolutely loved it. My wife doesn't eat fish, but she loved the haddock sandwich I ordered, as did I. We ordered to go (had a beer at the bar while we waited) then took it to our next meeting point and ate on a park bench. The 2 or 3 employees we delt with were super friendly and helpful.

Heading to Cozumel in March of '18, and was planning on staying on the ship...now you have me second guessing. Is Nachi Cocom baby friendly? I love the pics, might have to check it out.

5 Night Bermuda on Grandeur (27 May - 1 June 2017)
RestingBird replied to WAAAYTOOO's topic in Live Blogs
As for lobster, I remember reading somewhere awhile back that it's offered on 5 nights or longer. -
I was thinking the same thing, I'm glad Matt chimed in.

Did the male ones taste or look any different from the female ones?

Rooms for 4 on Allure of the Seas
RestingBird replied to TOJason's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
My in-laws did this on Majesty, interior room. 2 female adults shared the bed, then my 9 & 10yo nephews used the pullman's...they hated it. BUT, I know some people have no issues being that cramped. -
Pools on Radiance for Alaska Cruise
RestingBird replied to Maureen's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We used the Solarium pool a few times on Serenade in Oct. We went for a late night swim, but it was super weird because it was only me and my wife... aaand the security guy who followed us around, I guess to make sure the birds and bees didn't get away or something. -
Had an issue in Portland, Maine bringing some leftover chicken strips and a whoopie pie (in sealed packaging) back onboard, so we sat there in front of the security officer and ate it all.

I concur with JLMoran, I think Freedom class would be good, and possibly Voyager class if there's a Flow Rider on board.

We've stopped in twice, never ended up actually booking, but we did as you mentioned, just walk by to see how busy they are. We caught them during a lull in "clients", so we were in and out, no line to wait in.

As someone who doesn't drink wine it won't bother me, but I think they should've kept the fee away. Wasn't it $25 before? $15 is better if that was case.

What to pack for NE/Canada cruise in September
RestingBird replied to hmills96's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We went in Oct, and being from Florida it was quite cold. I wore pants the whole time (I hate wearing pants, I'm a shorts and flip flops guy). At the same time, I loved the weather, great change from the heat and humidity.- 5 replies

Not sure about shipping things home from the ship, but you might be able set up a pick up with UPS. They could pick it up from the hotel you end up choosing (it would have to be packed and labeled/already paid for. The drivers don't carry shipping supplies or payment options).

My guess is because the RCI website is so terrible (it needs to wear a mood ring so we know how it's feeling at any particular moment). I would suggest trying again (and again), calling, or having your TA do it.

They both have rock climbing walls...So I'll take either.
