  1. Great point about the airport choices. In addition to the ones Matt mentioned, there is Melbourne International, Sanford, and I think St Petersburg.
  2. I'd love to do some cruises out of San Juan, but will personally wait until 2019 or later, due to the Irma/Maria chaos.
  3. I haven't been on Anthem, but from what I've heard 2 restaurants are for my time dining (MTD), and 2 are for traditional dining, no chance in eating in all of them. The menu is the same in all of them. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. On the first day we go to the dining room and set up a 5:30 dining time for every day of the week, but can change it, or not go to the MDR if we so choose. If we know our excursion will not give us time to get back and clean up in time for the 5:30 then we'll call, or go to the dining room, and change it to a different time. However, you don't have to set up a time at all if you don't want, you can walk up at different times every day if you so desire. We set times and call ahead just to help the staff a little. Pretty sure @DocLC said the longest he had to wait for MTD was 20min one time.
  4. Rock on! (pun intended). I love rock climbing while onboard. I'm no professional, but I think doing the pull ups with your palms facing away from you are the best for climbing prep (also seem to be the hardest).
  5. I actually started eating more a few weeks before the cruise to prep for all the food onboard, because I get stuffed so quickly otherwise. I have a fast paced job, and just nibble enough throughout the day to get me through, so when I sat down with all the deliciousness onboard I took 2 bites and was done. That had to stop. So now I prep ??
  6. On Serenade I went to the bar in the theater and asked for the drink of the day, it was some fruity drink. Went again the next night, asked for the drink of the day...same as previous night. I'm not saying all bars don't change it up, but on that ship, for those 2 days it didn't change. In fact, as I'm typing this I recall our first cruise in which my wife got the drink of the day each night at the R Bar, different drink each day. So as with many things, who knows what you'll run into onboard.
  7. As the others have said, you're assigned a dining room based on if you chose traditional or my time dining. They're the same menus and experience. On the ships we've been on, my time dining is on the upper of the 2 levels, but I'm sure that's subject to change.
  8. No cruises with our son yet, but when he's old enough we'll try AO. Based on what I read here, I'll keep him with us for dinner, since we always do the 5:30/5:45 seating. After dinner we can take him to the 8pm opening while we grab a drink or show. My 2 cents.
  9. The aqua park is a lot of swimming between each activity, and some seem difficult for children to climb onto. They may fair ok with an adult helping them. I loved the park, and i was 28 at the time. Maybe just get some flip flops with super thick soles to make up those last 2 inches ?.
  10. That price of $1200 is for 4 bungalows. I was confused my first few times looking into it as well.
  11. Grandeur is Vision class, Serenade is a size up, Radiance class.
  12. When we asked where we were going my boss always replied "Down the road, down the way. We'll be there in 15min". So with all the chaos and changes from the storms I think a similar answer could be applied. Have fun wherever you end up!
  13. Haven't done Grandeur out of Baltimore, but Serenade out of Boston was a blast, I imagine they're not too different.
  14. If you're going through a travel agent I'd ask them to take care of it. If no agent...Good question.
  15. Hahaha! Seriously?! I needed that laugh ?
  16. Same here with the watch/phone. Phone goes in a drawer, and out comes the 'cruise watch' like @KLAconQueso.
  17. On Freedom, April of 2016, western Caribbean, ship time never changed, they told us to ignore local time. Serenade, Oct of 2016, New England/Canada, the ship changed to local time.
  18. 256 GB?! They make phones with that much space? I need to get out more.
  19. First two cruises were 4 nighters on Enchantment, she got us hooked. My wife wears the patch behind her ear, does great.
  20. We had an excursion in Bar Harbor through RC. We went to the theatre and got a ticket with a group number then proceeded off the ship, met the group on the dock after being tendered in.
  21. Why did Adventure even go there that quickly after the Hurricane? Did they let you all off?
  22. Depends on what kind of weather you're used to. Being a Floridian myself, I wore pants most of the week, and a long tee, or jacket when off the ship.
  23. Finally tried my first mudslide a few weeks ago on my land vacation...sooo good! Will definitely be having a few on my next cruise.
