  1. Average cocktail price is $12 if I'm not mistaken (safe to plan it there even if it's actually lower). Now, if you start adding top shelf liquor the price goes up. On my last night I added top shelf to some fancy drink and the price jumped to $21, but not every top shelf will make it that high obviously. Beers are around $5-8 I think. Somewhere on this site are various bar menus.
  2. I think I remember a rumor saying Quantum kept the DD, while they did away with it every where else.
  3. I'm pretty sure that's still a thing. Some sort of free spin.
  4. As jurrjurr said, not allowed. Can't bring one, or ask for one. Cruise ships biggest safety concern is fire, so they prohibit various items for that reason. There is a pressing service available I believe, for a fee.
  5. Cape Canaveral is right by the port, and has 4 or 5 hotels, most likely with shuttles to the ships. Cocoa Beach is farther south, but also has lots of hotels, probably with shuttles available.
  6. On my first cruise, one of the little things that made a good impression on me were the towel animals ☺
  7. We did this last year. While aboard Freedom in April we booked some of our excursions at 10% off for Serenade in Oct.
  8. Maybe it'll be used for random ships...until Oasis V arrives.
  9. I've been looking at said itinerary as well, but won't be doing it any year soon. Explorer was in dry dock a couple years back, so she should be in pretty good condition. Looks like a fun ship.
  10. Someone else asked this question earlier in the year...I don't remember the final outcome, hopefully they'll see your post and reply. I'd call RC and bug them nicely until they give you the answer you want.
  11. We've done it on our 4 cruises, and don't foresee changing it up down the line. It worked out well when some excursions went longer than planned and we couldn't make our preferred 5:30, or when our friends took too long getting ready. In both cases we just walked up, and it didn't matter that we were 30min, or an hour "late"...there is no late with MTD.
  12. Did you lose Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock? I slept on a roll away for 7 nights, in a motel in Utah, about 10 years ago. It wasn't half bad...but then again I wasn't in an expensive suite where we all dream of sleeping on "normal" beds.
  13. I know. Mine was more of a random thought after reading your question and Matt's reply. It was definitely a good question, one I've been wondering in the back of my mind. Even after reading about Edge going to FL it didn't click in my head that she'd be replacing Allure.
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong...But the Oasis class will be home ported (is that a word?) as follows, once Symphony arrives in American waters. Oasis = Cape Canaveral Harmony = Fort Lauderdale Allure & Symphony = Miami
  15. I've been waiting all week to hear how it went, so glad for the good review!
  16. I was going to wait...But maybe 2019 will be an Oasis year. Oasis in April, and Symphony later that year...
  17. I read the same thing...curious. Thanks for the post. Maybe it's a slow roll out.
  18. To @cajunman14... Enjoy Vision of the Seas, appreciate the time you have on her, for there are rumors constantly circulating about her being put up for sale. I'd love to take her out before she's sold, but no telling if I'll get the chance.
  19. Good point, thanks for bringing this up. After some discussions on here about charters, I went and checked my Brilliance sailing and was in the clear, but it's probably about time to check again.
  20. Your husband sounds like some of my friends. No idea what line, ship, ports...I just shake my head at them, lol.
  21. We'll be on her in March out of Tampa if all goes well, and looking forward to trying a JS. We were on Serenade last year and liked Radiance class well enough. I have the utmost faith in Brilliance.
  22. Not good news...I've been wanting to try Chops just for the aged steaks...grrrr. I'll be keeping an eye out on our next cruise anyway...maybe I'll get lucky.
  23. Same here, curious about this new Mexican sounding restaurant. Definitely try the Sabor guac. I've tried more guac than I can remember, never really cared for any of them. Tried it at Sabor and loved it!
  24. Got a decent deal on a balcony as well, and my wife wasn't overly impressed by it either. We both loved the panoramic OV on Freedom, and are willing to pay a little extra for that. We'll be trying a JS on Brilliance, for the space, since we'll have our 1yr old with us.
