Does Royal offer a shuttle from Port Miami to FLL? Open to other recommendations, as well. We’re trying to navigate without car seats after our cruise.

Does this change still require on-site testing for unvaccinated children? Or can we simply show up with a negative test?

We're on a B2B on Freedom in June. Our check-in window for the first cruise opened today and we completed it. The next opens in 3 days. Do I still need to complete that? Our last B2B was in 2018, and I cannot remember, so any help is appreciated!

I’ve got some conflicting information and I’m looking for clarity. Twice in the past, I’ve asked to book a refundable fare in the NextCruise office. Both times, the representative told me that I would not qualify for reduced deposits or the onboard credit offers if I booked refundable. However, my TA says that I do qualify for the same NextCruise benefits regardless of refundable or nonrefundable fare. What’s the actual policy?

As long as you have the right docs at the pier, you should be OK. My father-in-law is legally named James (as all of his documents list), but he goes by Tommy. His Vaccine card oddly lists Tommy, and our TA listed him in the Royal system as Tommy. There were questions at the pier, but because he had his Passport with him, it didn't hold us up at all.

I highly recommend FL Tours. They'll customize to your needs - one-way, three-legged, round-trip. They'll also provide a grocery stop on your route. I've found their prices to be worth it.

Widespread issue. I'm on the phone with Royal about it now. I'm having the same experience as you. The Royal rep said, "everything looks good on my end," and then when I said multiple people are reporting an issue, I was placed on hold and haven't heard back.

Yes. And they will send it to you multiple times prior to your sailing, even if you complete it.

Context: We're all vaccinated adults traveling with two unvaccinated children (under 12) to Eastern Caribbean in Sept. 2021. Question: Will we be restricted only to Royal Caribbean Excursions, or can we book our own?

Currently booked on Indy out of Port Canaveral in November. TA thinks it will still sail, and they’ll move Indy, but I’m not certain.

Have they done this on more than just charter sailings? I haven't heard of two fully-sold customer cruises Oasis class ships calling on CocoCay at the same time.

We do this same trip often. Here's exactly what we do: We typically stay in the Orlando area, or on resort property (using resort transportation to get from the airport). The day of our cruise, we hire a car service (highly recommend FL Tours) to pick us up from the resort and take us to the port. They're great, because they'll also stop at a grocery store so you can pick up some things before the cruise. They'll also pick you up after the cruise and take you back to the airport. If you're renting a car instead, I recommend Avis. There's an Avis location minutes from the port, and they offer free shuttle service. As for hotels, we usually stay at the La Quinta on Cocoa Beach. It's oceanfront, and offers free breakfast, at a pretty fair price. Side question - what sailing on Allure in September? We're on the September 19 sailing!

My TA was able to rebook my cruises and apply the Double Points promotion. Not only did it go smoothly, but one of my cruises actually had a slightly better rate. So, I get the double points and saved money. Win-win!

We were on Harmony's last sailing before the pandemic shut things down. The sailing before the one @Matt was supposed to be on (Sorry Matt!). We boarded on March 7, and things were still very calm with the virus in the USA. My favorite memory was sitting in the MDR the day before we were set to go to CocoCay, and Captain Johnny came on to make an announcement. We knew something was going on, but wasn't aware of how fast the virus was spreading on land. Captain Johnny announced to the ship that Royal Caribbean would be shutting down operations. There was a moment of pause and we all were bummed, thinking that our trip was being cut short and we would be returning to Port Canaveral. Then, a moment later, Captain Johnny said that because we were already sailing and had experienced no issues, we were clear to head to Perfect Day at CocoCay! It was a perfect day, indeed. As far as I'm aware, we were the last passengers (other than crew) to visit the island. It was quite a sight to see the island crew waving farewell as we sailed away that evening, not knowing when they'd see passengers again. Here's hoping our double-dip trip in April is a go!

I reached out to Royal Caribbean, and they confirmed it was a glitch in the system. It will be going away, unfortunately.

I have the Sapphire Reserve. The annual fee is a bit alarming at first, but once you see the perks (including the travel insurance), it’s totally worth it for us. From a “points” standpoint, it’s good. 3X for Travel and Dining. I usually transfer those points to an airline for 1:1 redemption and use them for my flights.
