Carnival newest ships seems to be a completely different cruise experience from the rest of Carnival fleet.
After all this changes I am thinking about taking a cruise on either Mardi Gras, Jubilee or Celebration in the near future instead of the Nickel and Dime of the Seas.

This is what happens when one of the longest serving CEO’s steps down and is replaced by a CFO (Chief Financial Officer), everything becomes all about money. I can’t help but think that when Richard was CEO of RCG, he actually cared about the guests and feedback was very important to him and was careful to balance guest experience with finances. Nowadays, Jason Liberty is just trying to squeeze every last penny out of you, while trying trying to keep his pennies in his pocket! Cruise prices are going one way and the experience is going the other! If they carry on with all of these cut backs, then they will just dilute the brand and start to build a bad reputation like MSC, where food and service quality becomes poor and every activity and dining venue is at an additional cost.
This is exactly like the Disney's Bob Chapek debacle...
I couldn't take the survey, the link send me to a page that says "This survey can only be taken by invitation."

Are there any JS on Boardwalk or CP? I think all the JS are Ocean View.

You can just order the three appetizers and they'll bring them to you without the exploitation.
It has been reported that they're restricting appetizers to one at a time per person, so this is a cool trick.

Folks put their head in the sand and profess the food and water in Mexico is perfectly safe. Nobody's gonna tell them what they should or shouldn't eat.
If it's so safe, why are there so many organizations attempting to teach the Mexican people how to cook cleanly and safely?
I've been all over Mexico and the Caribbean. The pork, fish, or other foods on the sidewalk... did you see it being cooked? How long ago was it cooked? How was the refrigeration? With no running water or sanitary facilities near the food carts or other neighborhood vendors, how did they wash their hands and cooking utensils?
Travel guides say to eat at obviously organized kitchens, with immediately cooked dishes and high food turnover.
Montezuma's revenge is still real. So are many other communicable illnesses.
And if folks don't get sick in spite of ignoring sanitation, good for them. Many folks do remain unscathed.
I will remain cautious.
No organization has come to my house yet to "teach" me how to cook, I guess they haven't reach all the "Mexican people" yet.
You are mainly talking about street vendors, even Mexicans are cautious about eating there. But there are more than street food vendors in Mexico. To believe that all the food sold in Mexico falls into the same category is an mistake (I'm not saying that you think this). We have sanitary regulations and regular inspections on stablished food vendors like any other country.
As you said, eat at obviously organized kitchens, with immediately cooked dishes and high food turnover is the safe way to go. And avoid tap water. -

Doesn't look like the ship ever left the port.
I've just read that it was filmed prior HOTS was heading to Miami, from Ft Lauderdale to Miami.

It looks like he chartered the sailing for him and 400 subscribers.
I'm not sure when was this, but i guess it must have been relatively recently (no more than a year). He then gifted a 3 night Icon of the seas cruise for every guest he invited.
Cool!

Glad to see this...we can get some good flight deals to MCO, SFB and TPA......not so much to FLL and MIA...so this is a great option!!
33 minutes ago, Baked Alaska said:Would it be possible/advisable/low-price to take Brightline from FLL to MIA? Or would Uber be better?
Maybe rent a car would be cheaper.
Don't forget to take into account the train ticket price.
These are One way ticket prices from Miami to Orlando.

Most of the cruises I book benefit from the CAS balcony discount.
In fact when I was early in the program I was booking balconies 28% of the time. Now thanks to the CAS balcony discount I book balconies over 70% of the time.
There is no question it does not work for every cruise all the time. However as you climb the CAS ladder it gets better which makes sense... more loyal, more discount.
As a result the gap often leaves me paying just a little more for a balcony compared to interior or OV and the CAS balcony discount is exclusively why I book balconies twice as often now.
I Know, and one have to be at least Diamond to take advantage of this discounts. And that's why I said "...almost all C&A discounts".
The % of Gold, Platinum and Emerald C&A cruisers is way bigger than the % of Diamond and above.

Basically, the pricing never changes, at least not in these promos and the promos seem to be nearly continuous.
That's the catch, so RC have a never ending "sale" that turns obsolete almost every C&A Discount.

It's 90% of the way to a complete amp.
Adventure was the test ship to prove the concept of what would become the amplification program. It just needs a Playmakers to call it done.
Let's hope it gets it next year on the dry dock scheduled for Oct 2024

Why? Charging for popcorn is stingy.
