That is the same plan that carnival has been pushing for months. The only difference is that the dates have changed thousands of times.

I'm seriously eyeing a Jan 13 2023 Anthem 11-night sailing for a deposit. Can't do it just yet, gotta wait until at least next billing cycle in a couple of weeks. But I may snag that and do a JS so we get CK dinner on all 11 nights.

Plus, the last night of that sailing would be my birthday. Nice advance gift to myself. ?

Where you looking over my shoulder again?? I booked this on the train ride into work this morning!! ?

This dynamic may lead to the creation/establishment of what has been mentioned in the press as a 'vaccine passport' or some government/universal certification mechanism.

I agree 1,000% Vaccine passports are a great idea. Is it really that bad when in reality most of us have as kids kept an Immunization Record, which is almost exactly like a vaccine passport. Who remembers these??? Would it be that bad to just stick it in your Passport Portfolio??

Wouldnt it be a HIPAA violation to ask my medical status?

Ok calm down people. There are two totally different topics being referred to/discussed here and being turned into a pretzel. It wouldn't be a HIPAA violation to ask you medical status if your position, such as a nurse or a doctor, requires you to disclose it for medical safety reasons to your employer ONLY citing interaction with patients, surgeries, etc. preventing medical malpractice or any lawsuit by any individual.

I don't know, I think we're a week or so removed from the the technical guidance being released, and I truly expect it to be underwhelming relative to what RC's healthy sail panel is already recommending. The fact that the CDC asked for details about RC's tracelet reads to me like they're copying their homework so to speak. I think things will move relatively quickly from that point.

Also, the CSO expires at the end of October... There will be mounting political pressure for things to go back to normal before the holidays, no matter what the experts are calling for (not saying that to discredit them, but the world doesn't exist in a test tube). It's possible we'll be a lot closer to normal, even though that seems so far off now.

I agree and optimistic that there will be some type of sailing from U.S. port but I HIGHLY doubt it that the entire fleet will be sailing. The earliest I see anything happening is around Labor Day and that's hoping that the CDC will soon get their act together.

I getting really tired of seeing an adorable husky pup giving us so much pessimism! ? LOL!

Just being realistic. They can't get mock cruises going as we are all still waiting to hear back from the CDC (a.k.a. The Croods) and to have a whole entire fleet by year end sailing??? I have a better chance buying & owning an Oasis class ship!!  ?

This rather surprises me as well.  Of course, Royal has a great success going in Singapore with Quantum and one would think that they would be trying to get another such local cruise scenario going, elsewhere.

Which many, beside me, would like to know, why is RCG dragging their feet in other markets when sailings have been successful in other markets??

When luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises resumes operations on its river and ocean sailings later this year, all of its passengers will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least two weeks prior to setting sail.

The First Large-Ship Cruise Line Announces Vaccine Requirement (forbes.com)  Apparently, there will be no exceptions, even for children not old enough to receive the vaccine.

Saga Cruises was the first to announce this requirement. We all knew that the "Domino Effect" was just around the corner.

I was just looking at the Royal Caribbean App checking through my reservations and noticed two ships we have reservations on where the App is not yet available, the Grandeur and Radiance. If the App is not available for things like Muster 2.0 Drill and paperless menus and alike, do think Royal will offer free Voom wifi on the ships so guests can access various tasks with minimal contact and interaction with crew? I am sure it is only a matter of time before all ships will be able to connect to the app, so it would be interesting to find out if Royal has any timelines?

You have a better chance in winning the PowerBall than RCG giving away free internet.  ?
