That's what Royal does and is doing......we all know they push for max profit....eliminate and downgrade perks, charge more for everything else......this is just another example on a large scale of what happens when a company becomes so big and successful....they don't care about the customers or clients that got them there.

If this ever happens to me with Royal, I would very quickly look at changing cruise companies and loyalties!

Royal will never, ever, EVER get a dime from me as long as I live, and everyone I know will be told this horror story.

  2. RCL has cancelled our March 10-15 cruise on Navigator of the Seas, as well as a couple others. Supposedly they have chartered all three cruises.

8 months away. March break. All they offered was $100 onboard credit to rebook and my rebooking fees on my flights.

I can't even find a four night cruise interior cabin at the same price of my large Panoramic room 5 night cruise. If I say screw it and don't travel, I lose $2000 in flights, which, since I booked my flights early, have to be used by the end of April 2019.

My twin girls are so upset, and I have no idea what to do. I used MEI travel and will talk to Sharla in the morning, but rooms booked up fast overnight. Right now our best option may be Universal Orlando this August before school starts.

We had the perfect cruise. I booked the corner large panoramic room on the corner of the ship. We had a beach bungalow on Labadee and ultimate dining package, all set for Navigator a month after its refurb. Now, nothing. it's 2am and I can't sleep.

Never, ever, EVER will I EVER book Royal again, and I will tell everyone I know what happened and to never, ever, EVER book with them.

They screwed three ships worth of customers for a little extra cash.

Did you price out the one on Indy that I mentioned above?  We were booked on that one (but I have cancelled it) and it was a good price for 5 nights.  It leaves a day earlier though.  Not sure if that works for you.

Independance leaves Saturday, the of oour flight in, but we dont get in until 4, and its other cruise is Thursday to Sunday. Our return flight is saturday.

  4. Screw Royal. I absolutely hate them.

If I just say screw it, Im out over $2000 US on flights. I cant do another week because its March break, so the first half of the email is worthless. I get a whole $100 to book a new cruise which are booked solid. The only semi equivalent room is out of Ft Lauderdale at $950 more US, and its half the size of the corner large panoramic room we had, on a ship my girls dont want to be on.

8 months out. March break. $100 credit. Could they do any less?

    Screw you Royal.

  5. I like checking our cruise periodically on Royal's site to see price changes etc. Seems like our particular cruise, Navigator of the Seas March 10-15 of 2019 is sold out.

Should I be worried about it being packed? I've only sailed on one RCL cruise before this one (Brilliance), so not sure what to expect.

On the good side, it will probably mean more people for myself and my twin 15 year old girls to meet.

    I resemble that remark.

Book as early as possible through a cruise specialist travel agent (like MEI travel). They check all the subsequent deals for you. Just got an email from Sharla last month about saving me $250.

  7. Looking at possibly getting the ultimate dining package for our March 10 - 15 navigator of the Seas cruise and have a few questions.

    1. When booking through the cruise planner, it asks for a dining time. I know you choose your restaurants on the ship, but can you adjust the times as well? I wouldn't want to be tied to a specific time.

    2. Is lunch included on embarkation day? We usually get to the port around 10 and get on the ship as early as we can.

    3. I know it's not economically the best choice, but can you go to Johnny Rockets as an option?

    Thanks in advance.

  8. Just looking at pre-booking dining on our March 10-15 Navigator of the Seas cruise. Looking at Izumi's menu on Royal's website, and about half the choices have been removed. I checked menus on other ships and it looked identical. No ramen, no hot rocks, basically nothing but sushi and sashimi.

Has anyone tried Izumi lately? Has the menu gotten smaller?

  9. I was on the ship in January for a Comiccon cruise. Tampa is an amazing port, especially when you go under the huge bridge. Both the airport and the port are downtown, so it's all nice and close.

It was my first RCL cruise after four on the Disney Dream, so i have little to compare it to. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, as did my twin teenage girls.
