Agreed..they just switched my nonstop flight from FLL to JAX from 11:50am to 7:45pm..nope nope nope.  Doesn't work for me because JAX is still a 2.5 hour drive home after that and I'd rather not get home that late when I can drive it in 7 hours right from FLL.
I'm typically team drive the evening after work to the port and stay in a hotel..usually way less traffic in the evenings.  Depending on a hotel park and fly deal or port parking costs I will either do one-way car rentals or drive my own.

We loved the coaster and I agree go first thing when you get there and you could ride it over and over.  We did not take kids with us but my understanding was that they could ride with a paying rider for free between the ages 5 to 11. 12 and up need a ticket and ride alone.  We only saw kids that size riding with another person.  No two adults on one cart while we were there.

I was in NYC last month and visited the Statue of Liberty. You have to book through Liberty State Park site - they are the only official ticket providers - but you can choose to get a ferry from either Battery Park in NYC or from a location in Jersey (not sure of the name but info is available on the website).
Whichever departure point you choose, you don't have to return to it so it would be entirely possible for you to leave from Jersey, visit Ellis Island, Statue and then get the ferry to Battery Park to sight see in Manhattan before getting the bus or train back to your hotel. Or you could do that itinerary in reverse.
Also, although you have to book for a certain timeslot, we found that they weren't taking much/any notice of this. We had a 2pm ferry booked but arrived at Battery Park at 12:30 and were just told to get into the queue. It was pretty busy (it was Memorial Day) but the queue moved really fast and we were on a ferry by about 1pm.
We had started the day at the WTC Memorial and museum then walked down to Battery Park via Wall Street so can confirm that that's a very do-able option.

One item not at the WindJammier that Chops has for breakfast is Eggs Benedict. The Mrs. was very happy.  Also items Like French toast are made fresh  not hanging out under a heat lamp.  PLUS, it is nice and quiet in there with plenty of A+ seating!!

My guess would be 7pm if not earlier.  I recommend going to NASA. You can see NASA from the port. You will have much more time and far shorter trip.  The Space Shuttle Atlantis is there on display too.

First thing we do when we get onboard is head to one of the specialty dining restaurants and make ALL three reservations for any and all three dinners. That one restaurant has access to all reservations at all restaurants. Do it first and you will have your choice of when and where.

If concerned about saving vacation time I would drive down after work the night before and fine an inexpensive hotel (Priceline.com Express deals) and park at the port. Nothing worse than the cattle call with all those other people and their luggage.!!

Top circle is the Rideshare area. Bittom is terminal entrance. Taxi can get closer.

Also. If you are renting a car for your four days when you return give yourself an extra hour because SeaTac's car rental building is very far from the airport terminal.

I'd consider bringing one of the $20 'umbrella strollers', they fold up small, for the terminal and onboard, but as far as the ports, the sidewalks are typically horrible and will only frustrate you.

    Hey Joe,

Quick answers from a guy that does everything the least expensive way.
    1.  no need to tuxes or even suits...unless you wait nice formal picture (amazing photo opportunities everywhere...Christmas car time is coming)  khakis and polo or dress shirt is fine
    2. Yes..similar at curbside check in at airport. pull up to where the drop off is, pop trunk, hail a porter (Typically have bright yellow or orange work vest or white shirt) he'll grab bags, tip his $5 and off you go.
3.Drink pkg. includes tip. I rarely tip extra
4.I rarely tip extra.  but Room Stewart will get an extra five bucks a day with one standard cabin.
    5. Let the Mrs. know she has the biggest living room anywhere.  she can go practically anywhere on board at anytime. if she wants to go for a walk at 2AM to the pool deck she's allowed. Adventure is a huge ship!!
    6. No Floral shirt needed. You will no be ostracized or mocked for being normal
    7. Solarium pool is 16 and older.  Your 12 yr old, and others will not be anywhere near you are once y'all see the kids events scheduled for them onboard. just tell them what time to meet to get ready for dinner and let em go.
    8. You can be fine without the paying for magnets. the only ones I bring are the ones I won, yet rarely use them. Plus they are heavy, and you need every pound of space so not to go over 50lbs at the airport.  Some ships have that shower 'string' for swimsuits, and you lived this long without magnets is my opinion.
Royal up.  don't expect anything from that...the consensus on here is no one hears about upgrades anymore.
I find that a lot of companies are too busy tending to the forest to see that there are trees everywhere.  Basically they are to entrenched in the day to day to realize that new comers board there ships everyday and  newcomers have tons of questions.  After 25 cruises I have issues finding answers to certain things. @Matt's blog is the greatest resource form any cruiser.

We're staying at The Harbor House and going to walk to 2 blocks to the terminal. Our 18 month old will be on his third cruise.

Harbor House Hotel and Marina, located at Pier 21, offers cruise guests the option to leave their cars during their cruise at the hotel parking lot for a cost of $12/night or park at the Hotel Galvez parking garage at no charge and catch the courtesy shuttle for their cruise and to retrieve their car.

Liberty.  Newer ship, larger ship, more activities and better entertainment.  Promenade, Ice Skating shows, water slides, more balcony cabins mean they may be cheaper if booked far enough in advance.
Enchantment is an older, smaller ship.   It's okay if the price is right and you will have a great cruise on her but she is nothing like Liberty.
