They have a bunch of different boats (something like 3-5), with each one being unique.
Either when you check in, or when you get on the boat, they will make "assignments" for all.  You can tell them you want a easy one, or nothing (or in charge of the cooler, handing out water, ect).  
When I went, I asked for a easy station, and every few (maybe 5) minutes, me and another person was instructed to spin this crank for maybe 20-30 seconds.  Not bad at all.

FYI after reading more the public beach in that area is clothing optional. Not so much when cruise ships are there but still a possibility if you are bringing the kids.

We are also on HOS in late June. I found this place. Looks pretty cool. Restaurant/Bar with chair and umbrella rentals. I believe the green umbrellas pics are most recent after thr rebuild from the hurricane.

I went to Bikini Beach a couple of weeks ago, it was great!  The restaurant/bar is all brand new (old one was damaged from the hurricane) and really nice!  All the facilities are super clean.  We rented 2 chairs w/ umbrella for $30.  We used Bernard's Tours to get there, once we arrived the driver asked what time we wanted to be picked up. He was there right on time and was super friendly.  Of course you can just grab a cab to bring you there as well.  We had a great day at a very reasonable price as I too was trying to avoid costly excursions for the 4 of us.  We did a similar thing in St. Thomas by grabbing a cab (more like a bus) and going to Megan's Bay for the day.  There we were also asked what time we wanted to be picked up and he was right there on time as well.  

So I just booked a 4 night Brilliance cruise in January 2018.  I was able to use a $250 MyVegas OBC for my cruise.  There are almost no restrictions of any kind with applying the OBC and I booked with my travel agent.  The only issues I had are that your agent can't use a TA group booking and they have to call casino royale not the regular booking number to make it all work.  Basically you make the reservation then after that your agent, or you if you don't use and agent, calls with the redemption code and you are all set.
It took me about 2 months of average play to earn 100,000 points to buy the $250 OBC.  Really not that bad for that amount of OBC.

I always made a beer run before retiring to my balcony for the night. I would take my wife's and sons seapass and get 3 beers from 2 dirrerent bars. Those corona cans were real nice. I could get a 6 pack in my pockets. The bartenders had no problem giving me 3 unopened beers.

I would say if the bag is too big just open it and slide it under. I did that on Freedom last year and it had an added benefit of acting like a big dirty clothes drawer during my trip.

You never know why someone is using that lift. I use stairs when I can but have a very bad knee and towards the end of the day cannot navigate stairs without a lot of pain. Taser me if you must but a healing prayer would be more welcome.

I just found out my son will graduate from college in December. With changes of majors we were thinking it would be a year and a half later. I had planned to book a celebration cruise for him and my wife in May 2018 but now he will probably be working.
 
I am booked on Rhapsody out of Tampa Feb 4th. Its about a week before final payment is due. I am considering getting him a cabin on this cruise. Its about $1600 with the current sale. Am I better off waiting until after final payment to book this room? We got a great rate on our room. This is almost double what we paid for my wife and I. I don't mind spending the money. Do prices generally drop after final payment date?

On Majesty a couple of weeks ago the servers brought me a bucket of ice and 3 beers at a time out by the pool. My wife had a drink package and was having frozen drinks. If they know you aren't sharing your package they will work with you.

Book another cruise of the same length in 2018 that's available and then transfer when your sailing becomes available.

If you had several different servers, and did not really connect with any of them, I would not feel too guilty about not leaving additional gratuity.  
 
In our case, we were fortunate each of the last 2 cruises with MTD to have the same team throughout the cruise (just sometimes a different table in their section depending on the time of our reservation). We really liked them so we gave them an additional amount on the last evening (and the cabin attendant). Our head waiter for our last cruise was outstanding and each night he would always ask us what our plans were for dinner the following evening and told us to make sure we asked for him when we checked in upon arrival to the MDR (if we had a later reservation than usual).

I believe you will get the free Zoom on any trip booked before March 15 even those sailing after July 1. That is the way I read it anyway.

My son-n-law called and because we booked earlier, we still get our VOOM free. How long ago did you book your cruise?

I had an aft suite once and it was fabulous being able to see the port fade in the distance as we left ports and to have the extra large balcony.  In addition, you don't get the wind experienced like you do along the side of the ship.
 
While the aft is more susceptible to movement, it seems less problematic to me than being at the front of the ship.
