arebee got a reaction from Sweety in Once on board, what do YOU do on embarkation day?
The only things we regularly do is: Wind Jammer for lunch, long island ice tea at the first bar, second long island ice tea to take with us to find our MDR table. From that point on its "whatever".

I know, they won't let me bring my emotional support alligator on the air plane anymore. He used to fit under the seat but I guess since he's 8 feet now the over head was the only place.

arebee got a reaction from monctonguy in Missing Straws
I do get the irony in this and I agree. We have recycling here but lately they have stopped (or banned) glass. The reason? It gets into the cardboard and the recycler can't make enough money. So from what I see, again, money is at the root. They don't separate anything anymore, just dump in into the truck and I guess dump it at the recycler. All we have is one big bin for everything.
I remember using paper straws waaaay back in grade school when they used to give us milk everyday, they didn't work too good back then. Not sure they will do any better now.

Not what I said nor implied. I am simply using peoples justification for banning straws here, and applying the same reasoning to cruising. ......
Here's some info on Harmony of the Seas :(one of the worlds "cleanest" cruise ships)
-burns as much as 66,000 gallons of the most polluting diesel fuel a day
-emits more sulfur than 2 million cars
-more particulate emissions than thousands of city busses
Air pollution from shipping(all kinds) accounts for about 50,000 premature deaths in Europe alone........so yeah, tell me again about how banning those straws on your next cruise is really helping the environment....doesn't anyone else see the irony of this??! It shouldn't be even a discussion or debated.
I rest my case....point made!

I've also had to show my boarding pass a couple times. So have a passport and the boarding pass ready just in case.

Yes, if its adult only they will put something in the description. But I can't say if they would enjoy it. Depends on them but they will get a good meal out of it.

They'll get it all back with the increase in price to Johnny Rockets.

arebee got a reaction from accio7 in Brilliance of the Seas ???
I've done Brilliance, I have no complaints. Doc beat me to the theater thing... I think it also has a miniature golf too. One think to watch for (if you aren't D, D+ or in a suite) the Viking Crown Lounge is with the Diamond Club and Concierge Club. We got kicked out so Diamonds could have their party.

I've done 2 six month meds when I was in the navy, I know its not the same thing but I've been to a lot of the ports and we get to stay for a while so you get to do some good site seeing.

We are doing Holland America in September on an inside passage. For us it was a timing thing, we will be in Vancouver at a conference and decided to take a cruise after and HA was the only one at the time.

Yes, I've seen a couple movies there. Nice theater but small.

There are a few ships that have a dedicated theater (I don't remember which class) but others show them in the main theater. But most show them outside on the pool deck in the evening. I do agree, the aqua theater really isn't comfortable enough for 2 plus hour movie.
