  1. That big, honking pair of pants that my wife bought me for Christmas....
  2. So this is definitely bogus, right? Oh, were it to be true, but there's no way lightning will strike twice.
  3. I always enjoy your vids, Tyler. This one is a little bittersweet, as we were supposed to sail on Harmony on April 26. But, we've re-booked for November 29, so here's hoping she's a go!
  4. Just added 11/29/20 on Harmony western Caribbean to replace our 4/26/20 cancellation. Ready to go - 198 days!
  5. But what if my mask doesn't match my formal night suit? I won't have to wear it, right? How about an ascot? But seriously - I'm 58. Not old by most standards, but my dad died at 64, and Lord knows my health ain't great, especially having to miss racquetball for all these weeks. My eyes seem like they're getting worse by the day. I didn't start cruising until 2015, so I have a LOT of catching up to do. So, my wife and I agree - we're going. 199 days until my virginal sailing on Harmony to the western Caribbean. Oh, we're definitely going.
  6. Whew....for a minute there, I thought I was going to have a meeting with the constable...
  7. Wait. That's all in one drink? I'm piqued, now...
  8. I was going to recommend a trip up to Mountaintop for some breath-taking views, but if you're scared of heights, then the drive alone would not be fun for you. Pity. It's a gorgeous spot to see all of the surrounding islands.
  9. I thought MF was better than this. Most, if not all of the crew members are staying in balconies and other passenger rooms, not their cramped cabins. Also, I stopped reading at "floating petri dishes". So freaking tired of this phrase.
  10. Our cruise was 4/26 (I should be in Costa Maya right now ? ) and we cancelled on 4/3. Haven't seen anything on it, nor has my TA (Stephanie from MEI - she's really good).
  11. It looks very damning for Carnival, but it certainly isn't going to be good for any cruise line. Surely Royal will get a lot of fallout from this article simply because, to the ignorant general consumer, all cruise ships are the same. Floating Petri Dish is simply too easy for non-cruisers to say, as it makes them look as if they actually know what they're talking about, when it proves that they are just plain stupid and mis-informed.
  12. I guess I'd be fourth in line. However, I would pinch number 2's ass and get number 2 and 3 to start fighting, then cleverly slide up behind number 1. I'm like bhaggie - I haven't cruised since 11/18 and am fixin' to go postal on someone IF I DON'T GET ON A SHIP AND SOON!!
  13. Well, I have no doubt that the "glitch" price is long gone. Now it's what - $80/day or so? That alone is gonna eat up my 25% credit. C`est la vie
  14. I've been using Stephanie Hudson with MEI. She's great. Maybe I'll see a free specialty dinner or gratuity thingy! Seriously, she's very patient with me. I keep finding better deals and e-mailing them to her and she picks it up and runs with it.
  15. This is a great idea, JLC! We were to cross over to (I know, lowly) Emerald status during our 4/26 cruise and that is one reason I'm bummed. But it would be so nice for RC to show that appreciation for our loyalty (credit towards a (hopefully) 11/29 cruise and not a refund) and we can climb up from the bottom deck and having to help paddle (my back is strong now, though).
  16. I love how you call yourself "fat". We real porkers hate you guys who do that.
  17. The term "floating petri dish" can kiss my big butt. I'm so tired of people judging cruising and the cruise industry. I'm pretty dang sure that 90% of these so-called health experts have never even been on a cruise, and if they did, it was probably the tugboat line.
  18. OVER...clap, clap...RATED!!
  19. Loving this blog! I probably shouldn't even be coming to this site since I'm just making my life more miserable without our 4/26 cruise available, but your writing style is fantastic and enjoyable. This really sums me up to a tee - "But after a mind-numbing 5 minute wait we were dropped off and headed up the escalators"! I simply can't get onboard quickly enough on Sunday morning. Even that 5 minute wait makes me crazy!
