It's like any other beach for baby friendliness...the bathrooms don't have changing tables...there is an absence of US construction codes, but I don't think that's a huge issue. You can pretty much wheel a stroller around the restaurant and pool area, but I don't recall any ramps. Bring lots of sunscreen. The palapas are large and offer lots of shade coverage.

You cannot go wrong with either. Flip a coin, book one, and then book the other itinerary when you get onboard!

I disagree that comparing DCL to RC is like comparing WDW to Six Flags.  It's more like WDW to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure.  Both REALLY good at what they do.  WDW has the charm and Universal has the thrill.
Nobody does Disney like Disney, but I don't think you can say nobody does cruising like Disney- they are pretty comparable experiences.

We were just there last week, June 2nd, and can echo the same experience above, I don't drink but my wife does, I was supplied with cold bottled water all day, never had to ask, food was amazing, the taxi summons by the waiter was the least painful I have experienced in the Caribbean, by the time we told the waiter we were ready to leave the taxi had already arrived before we could get everything put back up in our travel bags.
Can't reference the baby, we were kid less (Grand parents).
My understanding is the Mr. Sancho's is the party place and Nachi Cocom is the quieter more laid back beach...

We recently visited Nachi Cocom during a Empress stop in Cozumel. We disembarked and walked through the cruise port to the taxi stand and immediately took the 15-20 minute $17 US drive south to the day resort. The cost was $55 per person with an $11 per person deposit. We received a confirmation upon booking which we printed out and took to the resort.
Our driver dropped us off at the entrance and we were warmly greeted by the staff member who took our picture and briefed us on the process. We were then directed to the reception area in the restaurant where we paid the remaining balance and were introduced to our waiter for the day and taken to our palapa not far from the pool. We had two beach chairs, and the option to buy some extras. We chose the floating beach mat for $7 for the day. Later I purchased a massage in the nearby massage tent for a much more reasonable cost than on the ship we were sailing.
The complimentary drinks were cold, delicious and plentiful. Our waiter, visited us often and took great care of us. Our ship was set to sail at 6:30, so we left a little before 4 in order to do some souvenir shopping in the port. To get a cab, all we needed to do was let our waiter know what time we wanted to leave, and he handled all the details. I left him a generous tip, told him we would be back and thanked him for the great service.
I am certain there are other spots on Cozumel where once can have a great experience. We chose Nacho Cocom because of it's reputation as a quieter and more low key destination.

On a recent 4 night cruise I bought the Cafe Select card for 15 coffee drinks. My daughter and I used 14 of them...still a bargain off of the a la carte prices.
I did not buy the drink package, and did not miss it since I only bought four girly drinks and a couple beers while on board. I liked not having the feeling of needing to drink to get my money's worth.

I feel like that needs one of those asterisks followed at the bottom of the page by a nice paragraph of small-type legalese...

$300 price reflects purchase of inside studio stateroom with optimal promotional package applied. Price does not include port fees or taxes, which let's be honest will be more than the room price on this ultra-cheap room. Price does not include land or air transportation to / from port, parking fees, or other travel costs. Price does not include mandatory gratuities of $18.69 per day, or obligatory tipping to porters even if all you brought was a backpack with a single change of clothes and a toothbrush in it. And let's be honest, you're having at least 3 labadoozies; we know it, you know it, stop trying to pretend it won't happen.

I believe, as Mark said, RC lets you choose to spend what you want to spend. Spend $800 or $8,000. Get exactly as much as you want, or as little. It's all up to you.

It's funny, you used the term, "nickel & dimeing", I used the term "ala-carteing" --- As someone who grew up on the Disney product, as Fmanke said, there's nobody that does it better in terms of providing a memorable vacation for the entire family .....
What I personally like about the way that RCL does it, is the fact that you're not forced to buy something, hidden cost or otherwise, that you may not use...... plus, now that I'm 54, I don't need something that's geared so much towards kids, AND, I do enjoy a casino.  Perhaps that's an additional factor as to why Disney Cruises cost so much more, they have to make up for lost revenue.
I love the fact that I can start with a lower base rate for the cruise, and all of us in the family can pick and choose the "add-ons" in order to create a more personalized, perfect vacation.
Just my opinion, Disney does what they do really well, and so does Royal Caribbean, you just have to do your homework, and decide on what works best for you and your family.

Your best bet is to speak to the Cruise Director staff.  For big sporting events, there's usually somewhere onboard to watch.

Yes, this will be very interesting to follow, I don't currently use a TA, I do all of my own booking through the web page.
You guys don't start beating me up, I'm now on board with using a TA, after reading all of your post, plus my cruises are starting to get more and more complex, so I want someone else to do the planning for me.

My favorite part of Sint Maartin was the time spent in Marigot for breakfast and a little trinket shopping...and if you like wine, a visit to Le Gout du Vin, a French wine store is not to be missed. There's a great selection of French wines at fantastic prices, and everyone is very friendly. Sadly, we drank all the wine we bought within a few weeks. Therefore, it is necessary to return.

I just want to commend RC's service. I called the C&A number last night, and they called me while I was driving from Tennessee to Alabama this morning and asked if I wanted to do a booking. I told them that I didn't want to sacrifice my existing Symphony (GC) booking to do it, but that I wanted to watch out for other possible PC sailings. I really appreciated the follow through from them.

FYI...I called the C&A number (866-562-7625) to check on the Vision Panama Canal sailings next year. The rep could see it but could not book it for me yet, so she recommended calling first thing in the morning. I will be at it starting at 6 am eastern...
The first sailing is on November 13, 2018 from Miami to LA. The second sailing is on November 29, 2018 from LA to New Orleans. This may interfere with the Symphony GC, so I have some thinking to do.

I know there is a possibility of getting an extension. I'm not sure how long the extension is for. My travel agent got one on my behalf because he thought I needed more time, but I was actually waiting for any possible promotions.
