Yeah, apparently so. Unless the flight attendant made the wrong announcement when she asked them to stay in place until they did a head count.

A tip we found helpful - MDR staff are overwhelmed. If you can stop at a bar and get soda in a glass, THEN head to the MDR, it makes life so much easier. No more waiting for the drink or creating more work for your servers.
Not my experience. On our last cruise after the first two nights they had a coke for me and a hot tea for the wife waiting every night. Really appreciated that

Booked a guaranty balcony on Explorer in April. When I booked I looked at the available balcony cabins and made an educated guess which would be available when mine was assigned. I then checked for videos or pictures of those cabins to verify no obstructions. Made the booking as a guaranty was almost half the price of choose your own. Cabin was assigned pretty much where I thought and was fine. The price made it worth the gamble to me.

Just off Explorer T/A to Rome. Plenty of scooters parked in hallways.

It's about 2 miles to the New England Aquarium which is really nice. Also the aquarium is close to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Marketplace. The latter has some great food places.

We have the Wyze lights and they work well. We also have these that my wife uses for accent lighting in the living room. They are magnetic, rechargeable and dimmable.

This wasn't my experience on Oasis in February. Crew members would mention the survey but never asked for "10's". We praised our waiter and her assistant to the head waiter. He told my wife to fill out the survey and give them a good rating if we liked their service. He never mentioned giving them 10's. Leaving in a week for a TA on Explorer and hoping we aren't hit with these requests.

I didn't mind the mattress, but I had an aching neck most nights from the pillows. I'll be bringing my own memory foam pillow for sure.
Any pillow thicker and fluffier than a sheet of paper (wife's words) aggravates an old neck injury. I always travel with my own pillow. Fortunately being so flat it takes up very little room in a suitcase.

Some AT&T plans allow you access in Latin American countries. Check your plan. We were able to connect in Honduras and Mexico.

AT&T will cover Honduras and Mexico along with a lot of other Latin America countries. You have to be Unlimited Elite or Premier I believe. Easy to check on the website though. It worked fine on our February cruise to those ports.

I believe you can make an appointment to go through security at Seattle. Also you can have an issue with drawbridges as happened to us. Added 20 minutes to the trip and some passengers were really sweating it out. Our flight was after noon so we just let them off first so they could run for it.

I think the Blog needs to dispatch a roving reporter to Galveston. Not so much to report on the new cruise terminal or Allure or whatever... but more so for a report on the gas stations. Could going to the gas station before a cruise really be all that it's hyped up to be? And, I also mentioned another gas station, Rudy's. Is it possible the 'Q from a place that sells gasoline and quarts of 10w30 really be a worthy destination for a meal? How is it possible that a couple certain gas stations be so highly recommended for everyone who cruises out of Galveston?
Once upon a time I lived in remote section of West Texas. One of the highlights of a two hour trip to the big city of Del Rio was a stop at Rudy's. Highly recommend it

Hi @MKSglitz!
@Sharla from MEI-Travel recommended these compact rechargeable motion sensor night lights (3-pack). Thanks again Sharla!
They have a magnet on the back and will stick to the walls (and ceiling) of the cabin so you can place them anywhere to light the path to the bathroom, etc. We used them on our January sailing and found them to be really effective. They don't stay on too long if they stop sensing motion, so they don't disturb others in the cabin. You may find that these will do the trick for you!

Bought these for our last cruise and they worked great. We did discover that you need to put them close to the deck to prevent them being triggered every time you roll over. Highly recommend

We sailed to Alaska the third week of September in 2021. Weather prevented us from leaving Seattle until day two and cancelled our first port stop. Every other port stop with the exception of Juneau was eventually cancelled because of weather. We did do Glacier Bay though. We found in Juneau that most facilities had already closed for the season. We had a nice spacious balcony that was mostly unusable due to rain and wind. YMMV

Can the family in the other eight cabins chip in to help the one brother with the higher cost? It would be about $125/cabin based on what you wrote. I would propose this if it was my family going on a great vacation. Hope it all works out and you enjoy the cruise.

30 year old DUI will probably be easier to handle then one more recent. I would call the Canadian Port of Entry near you and talk to one of the officers. They can give you some guidance.

Was this both online and in the app? Strange

I don't believe you can tether when connected to wifi. I have used a travel router and then connected multiple devices to it. (disclaimer I have not done this since the restart YMMV)
