BigMac3001 got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in xSAILEDx Adventure of the Seas - Jun 3, 2023 - Jun 10, 2023 (7 Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day)
We are less than two weeks out, so I'm giving this a bump.

This is why I decided not to go with a package. For my wife and I next week, it would cost us a grand. That's insane.

The only potential issue with this is the knock on effect from those walking behind you, they see you walking straight in and follow your actions and think " well if they aren't washing their hands neither am i"

My planner finally updated. Luckily, my joined balcony rooms stayed the same. Woot.

You are all lucky. My eastern carribean from Ft. Lauderdale still says its three days less out of Galveston. Imagine how confused people are who aren't a part of a community like this.

When I logged in to our account this morning, our march ‘24 sailing now shows up as Adventure and we have the exact same rear balcony cabin we chose originally along with the same itinerary.

Welp, Royal is having a lot of fun with us at this point. My 7 night Voyager out of Fort Lauderdale is now a 5 night out of Galveston. Baby steps, I guess.

Assume that is 2023?
Mine was same way for two on Voyager now showing 5 nights from Galveston. I chose to cancel as I had refundable bookings. Adventure is a fine ship, sailed her in February from Galveston and really had a good time, but I was sailing Voyager for the ship and am looking at other options to get on her. I have no issues with Adventure, lots of good memories over the years.
Give it a few weeks. I'm sure it will straighten out.

We are also on a B2B changing from VY to AD. My TA said that they will not be shifting us over to AD until some time after 8-18. They are already actively selling the second half of our AD B2B so not sure how this is going to go but Royal has a bad history of not securing the cabins from the old sailing before commencing bookings for the new sailing….so I’m a bit uncomfortable with the switch-over at the moment.

As I've stated many times, I'm a planner, so I am working on planning out our next (second for all of us) cruise in June. We booked Voyager, but I see we are going to be moved to Adventure. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/07/28/royal-caribbean-redeploys-cruise-ships-2023-2024-cruise-season-due-new-speed
In the past, when they do these ship changes, how long does it usually take to get the new reservation? My reservation is still showing Voyager. My big concern is if they will change the actual ports/dates as I'm already starting to figure excursions out.
Thanks all.

You obviously have never met my child. You see, she has a parent who actually taught her how not to be a brat.

BigMac3001 got a reaction from RWDW1204 in Serious glitches on Symphony
It's been an interesting first day for Symphony. We started a day late due to the storm, and the app was pretty much useless most of the day. I spoke with one of the IT leads, and the issue was the delay in sailing led to them not setting up any of the financial portfolios for the guests. Basically, the app didn't know any of us were paid guests.
This forced everyone to line up at the box office to reserve any show that required advance registration. We got on the ship at 10:30, and the line already snaked out of the Attic and down the art gallery hallway. I've heard from folks that there were some who waited for hours in line. In fact, they came over the intercom around 3pm and said that they had cut off the line.
The same issue caused shore excursion issues. No excursions could be bought or amended for most of the day. There was a line in the excursion area all day, and staff reported to making notes on pads of paper in hopes of entering in the changes once the system came back on line.
In short, the day was full of long lines and upset guests. Customer service confirmed we have over 6,000 on this sailing, so it looks like full capacity didn't help anyone. Royal should know how to make things run more smoothly after a delay. I'm sure it's not their first one...

BigMac3001 reacted to ChanaC in Height increase soles for Ultimate Abyss?
Please don't try to cheat height limits. They don't put limits on these things just for fun or to mess with children, it's part of their safety protocol. It's been determined that anyone under these heights is at risk for injury. Trying to do something to get under height or weight limits on any ride or attraction puts the rider at serious risk. Look what happened to that boy in Orlando who was over the weight limit for that drop ride (although that didn't seem to be his fault, the ride operators didn't seem to post or train their employees on the limits). This sounds dramatic but I promise it's not worth risking.
