Jack S reacted to craftycruiselady in Coffee card use
You can. I just got off adventure, I was told a frappucino is 2 punches, an iced mocha latte or anything with ice is 2 punches. A small hot is one, a medium/grande hot is 2 and a venti is 3. The iced mocha only comes in grande (medium).

It's actually one punch per shot of espresso (where 12oz = 1 shot, 16 oz = 2 shots, 20 oz = 3 shots). So two 12oz drinks is more liquid but less espresso. So the value depends on how much caffeine you want.

Just be aware that you have to go collect your card, usually from Café Promenade. If you order a venti they may check off the card twice. I was on a sailing and of day six I heard someone asking about their card, they had assumed is was loaded to their sea pass card similar to other drink packages.

Is having to go to Cafe Promenade just a Symphony thing? On our Radiance sailing last year it was in our cabin in the same envelope as our shore excursion tickets.
And they may even double punch for the 16oz, at least they did on Radiance. 12oz was 1 punch, 16oz was 2 and 20oz was 3. It was actually "cheaper" to get (2) 12ozs than a single venti.

This. Some WJ bars also have a fancy coffee machine. Not sure about Symphony.

Should be able to use it wherever they sell specialty coffees..I think on Symphony they have them at Vitality Cafe also and maybe Park Cafe.

Heck even luggage tags can be written on the spot by the baggage handlers at the terminal. There is nothing enhanced or special about luggage tags, they simply are used to guide your luggage to the right hallway location. They quite dumb. If you wrote cabin 1234 on one that is exactly where you luggage would go. The ones written on the spot at luggage drop off are no better or worse than ones printed at home in color.

Te only paper that you actually need are the luggage tags. You will also need you Set Sail Pass(es) but those don’t have to be paper. You can present them electronically if you want to. I always print mine out but you don’t have to. You can save them to your electronic wallet and present them for boarding. You do not need anything else from your “cruise docs”. The only thing I ever use from the cruise docs is the physical street address/location of the port terminal for use with my GPS.

Jack S reacted to OCSC Mike in Starbucks Gift Cards?
If it's a freestanding Starbucks like on Oasis class, yes.
You just can't use it a coffee venue that happens to serve Starbucks.

Welcome to the forums!
There are many dining options that are included with a Royal Caribbean sailing.
The following restaurants are included on Wonder of the Seas: Coastal Kitchen (if booked in a suite), El Loco Fresh, Park Cafe, Solarium Bistro, Sorrento's Pizza and Windjammer (buffet),
You can always explore your options on the Royal Caribbean App. Click on "dining" and all restaurants on the ship will be listed. Those with a ($) have a charge. Anything without that will be included in your fare. Water, tea, basic coffee, juices (not freshly squeezed), and lemonade are included with meals. Soft drinks are either a la carte or included in a drink package. I wouldn't pay double or triple the fare I'd have to in order to sail with Disney just to avoid paying for soft drinks.
Have a wonderful time!

Go to any venue with included drinks and use the cups of water (or whatever) to fill your bottles.

All the aqua shows are worth watching because of this. Its like when the Olympics are on you end up watching sports you would never otherwise watch. I enjoy the aqua show for the impressive feats of athleticism.

We have always enjoyed the Aqua shows. Definitely need to see it and decide for yourself.

Jack S reacted to WAAAYTOOO in Aqua Show on Symphony
The Aqua Theater shows are very entertaining....especially the diving and the slack line performers. As far as the rest of the show, it's a bunch of stomping, splashing and jumping about. I could do without most of that, TBH. I guess they have to make a 50 minute show out of something.
The Aqua 80s show, however, I find extremely enjoyable b/c the music is so well done. It is one of the best musical arrangements I have ever heard. They really do an excellent job with the music on that one. The others, not so much.....

Agree that Aqua 80’s (Oasis) is the best Aqua Theater show in the fleet. Hiro is as good as any of the other ships but not as good as Aqua 80’s. Hiro is worth the effort to go and see.

Hiro was good. We give Aqua 80's our highest rating (music we grew up with) but HIro is worth seeing.

Hiro is fantastic. We saw it 3 times on our Symphony sailing.

Jack S reacted to EmptyNestTravels in Most popular complimentary venue on Oasis.
Oasis of the Seas, or Oasis class ships? Harmony is Oasis class. The Solarium Bistro was closed "indefinitely" on my recent cruise; crew said they were unsure if it would be reopening or closed permanently. 😞 Park Cafe is excellent for breakfast and lunch (closes at 5:30 PM); Sorrentos, Cafe Promenade (some items are complimentary), Windjammer, Mini Bites (Pool deck aft). And of course, the unlimited soft-serve ice cream located pool deck (#15) aft near Mini Bites. BTW, was told that apparently you can get "free" smoothies and juices at the Vitality Spa Cafe if you have Refreshment or Deluxe drinks Package (but didn't try it yet).

Jack S reacted to Censored in Staterooms Day 1
As I usually get a suite, Im assuming they have priority and are done first? Further my recent cruises have been at 30- 50 percent capacity . Sometimes they lock the doors to the hallways. Ive been lucky since October. Yes turnaround day is a more hectic time for them. If Im let in by the steward, he gets rewarded instantly.$$$

Jack S reacted to Ampurp85 in Staterooms Day 1
If you aren't staying in a suite, then 1pm might be the earliest but 2 will be the latest. On my last cruise, on Freedom this month, my room was actually ready when I boarded around 12:45. Some floors still had the doors closed and they were cleaning but mine was wide open. I say this to say there is an official opening time, when the captain makes the announcement, and the unofficial, which is you going to your deck and checking. If the seapass card is on my door, then I go in and drop off my stuff.
