Hello Fellow cruisers. We are 9 day away from cruise fun🙃. I am soooo excited😀. I got all my shows booked but i missed getting the comedy show and its booked up. I am hoping that by being in a suite, they will let me bump up and get a reservation. 🤭

My cruise must be the only RCL cruise that has sold out all the suites. I’m so unlucky 😞😏😜

I was kind of hoping that we'd have better luck with Royal Up going from an Ocean View cabin to a balcony of some type, but starting to lose hope that could be the case. Either way, very happy with our cabin location on deck 8 nearby Central Park. 
That said - considering printing my luggage tags just so that my cabin might change shortly after 😅

I’m super sad that all suites are sold out on my May 2 cruise. I was really hoping to get a Royal Up. If we aren’t getting a loft I’m at least grateful that I have a JS. Blessed just to be going 😊

I sure hope I get something but after reading all the posts and seeing that all the suites are sold out on my May 2nd sailing, I am ok with the JS that I have. I don't think I will hear either way until the day of the cruise. I have 4 or 5 bids in and they are all really good bids, but again I am will have a good time no matter what happens.

For my April 3 sailing, I was notified of my upgrade on March 25.

Anytime between now and dinner on the first night. My last 3 cruises since restart I've received notification a few days prior

ok, so last week I got tired of waiting for a Royal Up and I upgraded to a Junior Suite from a Balcony. It cost me and additional $1200. Today I see that the cost of all the rooms went down so I called to get repriced. I can not believe it an you probably won't either but they repriced me at a $750.00 discount. Yes, that is correct...$750.00. I was amazed since that was not the discount that I was seeing on my ghost booking. When they sent me the updated paid invoice, it showed a the full $750.00 difference. I noticed that I got a credit for $430.00 and it was a Senior Discount. My mom who is a serious cruiser told me that it is because my husband is now 55yrs old. When I first booked the cruise he was on 54yrs old. I hadn't even thought about a Senior Discount. I was super excited:). We also got a discount for the state we live in as well as the sale of the day. It sure pays to check your room daily. Just because the same promotion is on, please remember that they change the price of cabins/categories daily. Sometimes several times a day. With all my repricing since I first booked on April 2nd 2021 I am $150 cheaper that the amount I originally booked for a Obstructed Balcony and remember, I am not in a JS. I am so happy I just cant stop smiling:). Oh yeah...I also still have offers in for Royal Up. I don't think I am going to get one, but that is ok with me. I have gotten so much already, I can not complain. 

I do worry about it because I don't want to get to the port and not be able to board if Royal won't accept a certain test

That's funny because I bid the exact same amount for the star loft on my upcoming May 2022 cruise. My thought is, if I get it, I am actually saving money. I have another cruise booked for Oct 2023 on the Allure with The Crown Loft. That booking is about $5K and the cruise is only 6 days. On this cruise which is 11 days Transatlantic, we are in a balcony and I have paid $1,850 for this cruise. If I win the bid of $3k, that is a total of $4,850 for an 11 day cruise in the Crown Loft:). Since our 2023 cruise is JUST to be able to get in the Crown Loft at an affordable price, I would be able to cancel that cruise (saving me $5K) or book a better one to Alaska or on the Wonder of The Seas. For me bidding the high amount is worth it. I have a few bids in and would be happy to get any one of them excepted but I am really hoping that I get the crown loft or the owners suite. That seems like a cheap upgrade to have Star Class and the biggest rooms on the boat.  But, what do I know.  Star class is basically free access to everything, and preferred treatment.  Unless you already have Star Class in your suite, I would always try for the upgrade....🤷‍♂️

It's a way to bid on a stateroom upgrade. The most important things to know are that
1) it's based on double occupancy, so if you bid $50 and win, you will pay $100.
2) Just because the program may allow you to bid on a certain room category, it does not mean that there is an actual room available.  They are often betting against last-minute cancelations.  
3) If you are eligible you will usually get an email invitation to bid (usually about 70-ish days ahead of sailing).  If your sailing is within 30 days you can check the link below and see if it allows you to bid. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.  Not all passengers will be able to bid on an upgrade.

We (my husband and I in one room; my sister in her room) got our Royal Up bids accepted on February 28th for our March 7th cruise.  One week ahead.  Back in December when we got the acceptance email it was about 2 weeks out.

I was on Odyssey of the Sea last week, got my email acceptance 3 weeks prior to sail. 

We got an email 10 days before our sail date (March 27, 2022) that our RU had been accepted....

I am on The Anthem of The Seas on May 2nd, 2022. I put in 3 bids for Royal Up's. I haven't heard if either of them were excepted. Has anyone gotten any Royal Ups excepted for 2022 so far? If so, how far out from the acceptance to your cruise date? I am super anxious to know if I am getting a bump:). I am currently in a balcony but have bid on a Junior Suite, a One Bedroom Suite and a One Bedroom Suite with a large balcony. Wish me luck:) 
 
 

Don't get discouraged and quit looking. I call them EVERY week! I don't care what the sale shows on line..call them and get re-priced. Sometimes they will give you a discount for the state you live in.  When I booked my cruise, I lived in Vegas. I moved to OK in September. When I called in Nov for a a re-pricing, Oklahoma had a resident that saved me $400.00. Another time I called, they gave $50 OBC that was not advertised. I booked the cruise in April 2021. It is scheduled to sale on May 2 2022 for 11 days transatlantic. When I booked it, I had an obstructed balcony for me an my husband that cost $3,668.00. As of today, I am in a Junior Suite. I have 175 OBC and my final cost paid in full with gratuity included is $1,980.00. My daughter is in a inside cabin with a virtual balcony and her original amount was $1,400.00. Today she is still in the same type of room. She had $75.00 OBC and her total cost, gratuity included is $971.00. Keep calling! Every dollar counts. Good luck
