Hahaha they’ve taken to the upscale fare! Funnel cakes are for the rough-hewn sea pigeons.

Hi @Fastfaller. I can't think of a single thing I would avoid. I really enjoyed our ports (although I would have preferred Labadee to Falmouth, that was obviously out of my hands), I enjoyed the ship, the food, the staff, and the entertainment! I guess I wish we had had more time to walk over the floating bridge and walk around the cute little neighborhood in Curacao but I wouldn't have given up my dive for it. And allot more time than you think you'll need for transportation in Aruba - we had a very long walk to get out of the port and traffic builds up in the downtown area. I'm glad we did Wonderland, it was really fun. I really tried to do as much as possible on the ship - the Escape room, the laser tag, the slides, the flowrider, etc. Our pickleball class was pretty fun with a great staff member, Ricardo. I really loved the Zumba classes. Our trip wasn't perfect, but the things that went badly for us weren't necessarily choices we made to suggest or not to suggest for others, like the problems we had on our Jamaica excursion or even getting to the port. I think you'll have a blast. Just plan ahead of time, whatever you want to do - like the show reservations and signing up for laser tag as soon as you are onboard. If you have specific questions, happy to answer them!

Not as impressive as those leveling up to Diamond or D+ or Pinnacle*, but I'm happy to see it anyway! Every great journey begins with the first step! (or second, as the case may be...)

It was the game room. We hid two inside of games - one was a murder mystery game (in a tube) and the other was mahjong in a case. In Wonderland, it was just inside the entrance, in the wall architecture, by the sheer curtain-y thing on the left.

Today we are in Nassau. There is Liberty to my left.

    And Anthem to my right.

I feel like the inside of a Royal sandwich.

There are discussion forums like this for Royal but for Disney that might get you more information - I've used https://www.disboards.com/ before. There is a whole strategy also around (if you want to stay on a Disney property) bidding on Priceline or Hotwire to get a better deal, but usually only at certain times of year. There are tiers of on-site properties, value/moderate/deluxe, so there are options and trade offs for different budgets. I'd pop over there and take a look at their hotels section.

I had to check out Fish & Ships again for quality control. This room is handy for running up/down one flight and grabbing some..or some soft serve..or hitting up WJ for a to-go plate.
The chicken fingers were different this time. The fish they were frying fresh in small batches. It tasted less bland this time too..maybe because it was fresh.

Of course I had dinner 3 hours later. I'm at a 2-top in a row of other 2-tops so I have neighbors to pretend to ignore.  No great people watching to share.
Now I'm in WJ for second dinner 😂 I needed vegetables because the MDR doesn't know what those are.
They are frying donuts up fresh tonight...

Those mugs are labeled as sugar donut with chocolate milk..because everyone likes their milk to sit under a heat lamp.

We did not have any additional fees when we were diverted to Falmouth. We also got our Labadee excursions refunded to credit card very quickly, even though they made the decision to cancel the day after our planners closed (this was for a late March cruise). I really thought it would be OBC because it was two days before the sailing, but it was a direct refund.

That looks like the cake they brought my MIL in CK on Wonder last June (we only asked for a slice with a candle) with slightly different decoration colors. It was also pretty good.

Yes, sorry! I answered @Ampurp85 in my live blog and forgot this was a separate thread. It was pretty good. Very moist, which is what I find missing in most of Royal's cakes. It tasted like a normal chocolate cake, although the chocolate decorations gave it a bit more "pop." We nibbled on it for about 4 days before it started to get stale.

@jbrinkm That is NOT the apple blossom that I know and long for either! I’d be close to tears if I was expecting the old apple blossom and got served….that!

Thanks for that... Yup all signed up for shows, I will definitely add laser tag once onboard... I wasn't even considering it, but now I am. I can't wait, and neither can my kids.
Thanks for the play by play, I enjoyed reading all 7 pages of it

This is what was served to me as the "blossom" for lunch. Yes, it was called the Apple Blossom (NOT crumble) on the menu. I was extremely disappointed.

I try to be less grumbly than many of the folks here, so I'm naturally more appreciative....  I may not even know when I'm eating a bad meal.😁  And in fairness, yes, if you say you hated your food, you must've believed it was really bad.🤔
But, I've gotta say, my meals on Wonder, last week, were as good as the best food I've ever eaten, anywhere.
The MDR, although all I ate there were the steaks, were quite good.
And on the ethnic nights where I skipped the MDR, the Windjammer was the best it's ever been, both in variety, preparation, and quality.  And the service was terrific.
On lobster night, our lobsters were great.  Really great.  But as we left the restaurant, I overheard somebody complaining how awful the lobster was.  I guess if you're convinced your food was  awful, then to you, it was awful.  Because my opinion was different, doesn't mean I was right or you were wrong.
