Booster shots mandate inevitable on Royal.
smokeybandit replied to Censored's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I'm not sure it is inevitable. Especially with different countries having widely varying guidance on who should (and who shouldn't) get boosters, especially among kids and young adults. -
Harmony caused a SpaceX scrub

"We're going to launch more, so you ships are going to have to follow our rules more" doesn't sound like something that'll go over well -

What punishment would there be for a vessel to stray into this restricted zone. Any at all? -

To make up for it the Icon class ship will be named Elon of the Seas. -

From the article, a cruise ship was merely nearing the area, not actually in it. -
That's a great sign if you're getting PCR tests turned around in 24 hours again.

Receive FCC after cancelling (CWC)
smokeybandit replied to cruiserccl's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I did it both myself and through a TA. You just give them the reservation number of the canceled cruise that gave you the FCC and they go from there. -
Receive FCC after cancelling (CWC)
smokeybandit replied to cruiserccl's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You should be able to book a new cruise without putting any money additional down knowing you have FCC coming. I did this twice. They put a long term hold on the cruise until the expected FCC issue date, then once you get the FCC, call them up and they apply it. -
Question about Bare Foot Beach?

Non dairy gum-based beverages is basically what's in that mix.

Obviously you're asking for allergy reasons so you can never assume, but soft serve mix tends to just be oils, sugars and stabilizers (which theoretically could be egg, but is typically something more shelf stable). The soft serve ice cream is really soft serve franken-ice

Full Vaccination - Boosters?

Cruise lines face quite the conundrum with boosters with so many countries having very different guidance for them, especially for kids -
Alaska shore excursions crossing into Canada Covid restrictions

I was on the White Pass Rail in 2002 and even then it didn't go into Canada -

A lot more than I ever spend.

Is RC suddenly sending out a lot more Royal Up emails? There have been a ton of posts on Royal Up the last few days.

today having issues with Cruise planner
smokeybandit replied to Mark_A's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The only issue I'm having with cruise planner today is that their new sale stinks for a certain cruise. -
From the FAQ: If RCI has accepted the Offer and Guest modifies or cancels the booking, the Upgrade and the Offer will be cancelled. RCI will have no obligation to invite the Guest to submit a new Offer on the modified or new booking or to apply the Upgrade to the modified or new booking or to issue a refund or credit of any kind. Upgrades are non-refundable unless Guest cancels the booking. If Guest cancels the booking, Guest’s cruise fare will be refunded in accordance with RCI’s standard cancellation policy, and Guest will receive a refund for the Total Amount of the Upgrade.

Travel agents & Royal Up
smokeybandit replied to wannabecruiseexpert's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Q Are the RoyalUp℠ upcharges commissionable? A Yes, based on the commission percent on the booking. At this time, the only exception is for bookings that reserve under a net price code which will not earn commission on the upcharge.
