  1. Galveston was the most organized check-in process I saw in my 4 post-restart cruises.
  2. As long as the cruise isn't canceled/delayed, no real need for an announcement. Those on board will get the info they need about changing ports of call
  3. And it's not just those who don't drink. Many people might have a glass or two of wine with dinner and that's it. No need to pay for a package for that.
  4. Based on JVF's limited commentary on Kay, it seems like that cruise will just follow the typical 3-day cruise route. Just hover around the US/MX border for sea days then go to Ensenada maybe an extra day.
  5. You're likely going to pack too much Don't feel as if you need to get the beverage package or dining package. Pack common OTC meds covering head to butt conditions. You never know what you'll need, and if you need it and don't have it, it may be tough to find. And these days you don't want to get ship medical involved unless absolutely necessary.
  6. I have never booked a beverage package, dining package or internet package. I'm glad I don't have to pay extra for any of that to be included. That's why those packages exist, for people to buy separately.
  7. And which pet cat did you swab for your test?
  8. Just think of it as the old school land line. If someone's on the phone in the house, you can't make a call. You'd have to wait for them to disconnect, then you can log in. (or in this case, log in and kick your husband off)
  9. The 8 month old pinnacle probably behaved as well as some 78 yr old pinnacles I've seen I kid, I kid! Sort of?
  10. Kay will be a tough one since it's projected to ride the coast. I'd think Navigator will have to go out to sea more, then follow the storm (as it dissipates) from behind
  11. No, Howth, Ireland. We went to belfast, too. Wasn't impressed.
  12. The only time you'd need to be concerned about weather is if a hurricane would threaten your debarkation. Once at sea it might disrupt your ports of call, but they'll keep you in calm(ish) water
  13. They won't cancel simply due to rain. So don't worry about that at all.
  14. A lot depends on the bed your son is sleeping in. Sofa? Pullman? Etc?
  15. I had some very good chowder in Ireland just last month
  16. The fish dishes don't tend to be so exotic that "fishy" even comes into it.
  17. A green card just means you're allowed to be in the USA long term. It's not meant as a substitute for a passport, but a supporting document for one.
  18. Anyone know how many were crewing RC-branded ships prior to covid? Best I can find is total across all of RCG, not just RCI
  19. $39 per day? You could max that out by lunch every day.
  20. How long does the O3b contract still have? They may well be adding "Super Voom" tier instead of outright replacing (for now) O3b.
  21. Unless it's a more exotic cruise, the types of cruises don't change much. So you could look at what's available now for the same time of year in 2023 and you'd get a pretty good idea of what will be there in 2024.
  22. Carpets are replaced mid-cruise. Dry docks don't tend to upgrade things that a passenger would really take notice of, short of an amping.
  23. Did anyone look under the couch cushions?
  24. Yeah, this isn't Air2Sea. The airlines have to notify the entity that booked the flight. This year I had a Frontier and a Southwest flight changed and never got notified. Yet other flights have been changed on those airlines and I got notifications.
