Exactly figures haven't been released. It's largely believed at the start it will be closer to half, and then ramp up from there.
They also said the exact percentage will vary from ship to ship.
I wonder what procedure RCCL will use to reduce capacity: longest booked, highest cabin category, or by C&A level?

WOW.. What an interesting guess... I had no idea that DD474 was a Fletcher-class destroyer. USS FULLAM (DD-474). Launched in the Boston Navy Yard on 16 April 1942. Being that I was born and raised in Boston, it would be a great guess. BUT the "DD" stands for Drew and Donna. "474" is my home street number. That is so Funny. I was actually in the Air Force, I was assigned to NORAD (25th ADS) McCord AFB - State of Washington. LOL..
That is funny. Another reason not assume things. Although I was in the Navy, I participated in joint exercises at a Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. Top Gun vs Red Flag

Yes... Same Here... I enlisted back in the 70s.. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
I’m guessing the DD474 was the Navy destroyer you were on. My dad spent 23 years in the Navy mostly on destroyers. My first “cruise” was a 2 week trip to Japan with my family on a troop ship where we lived for a few years in Yokohama. We had to get several shots before we went overseas. Then I joined the Navy at got more shots.

Definitely. Back up to 20+ cruises booked.
Wow, that’s awesome!
I’m not optimistic about my August Alaskan cruise but very optimistic about the two December cruises.- RCIfan1912, DD474 and twangster

Thanks for posting this topic. We’ve been happy with the Junior Suite cabins but are ready to try some Sky class suites starting with a GS. We are D+ now so we have some perks but the additional perks are enticing.

We sail on 2/5/22 on the Symphony with a stop in Puerto Rico but have not received an email. Hopefully your original plans will be reinstated.

If having direct access between cabins is important, maybe consider 2 balcony cabins next to each other. Then have the cabin steward open up the divider on the balcony. We’ve done that with friends before and is nice having both balconies opened up and hanging out together.

Atomic also makes lenses with +1.5 to +2.5 diopters that replace the factory lenses. I have these in my dive mask.

Key Biscayne beach is close by. We have not been there but is close to the Holiday Inn. There is also Bayside Market place across the street from the Holiday Inn. There are shops, restaurants, and sometimes entertainment going on. There is also a marina there for sightseeing or fishing.

We did the coastal cruise from the port and like twangster said we were underwhelmed but enjoyed the scenic boat ride. My next cruise in December (hopefully) will be scuba diving at the Pitons.

It’s worth it for sure. Bring water shoes as there are sharp shells blanketing the beach. I would recommend skipping the cabana (much better options at coco cay).
The beach in view from the pier generally has a sandy bottom but the beach under the zip line is rocky unless you go to the area near the shelter house or beyond.

We took our daughters on several cruises when they were 7 and 11 at the youngest. They had a great time and have great memories. We recently took one of our daughters and son-in-law with their 2 year old son. It was not the same. He did not want to go to adventure ocean, didn’t have the patience for the dining room, and was not old enough for some of the H2O zone slides. We stayed behind in ports so our daughter and SIL could go off the ship. We will do it again but only when they are 5 and older.

I’ve been on 7 cruises on the Freedom. It is one of my favorite RCCL ships. I’ve only been on the Navigator once. They are very similar but the Freedom is newer and has the cantilevered hot tubs that are nice.
Does Anyone Double Book Due to Uncertainty?

I’m double booked in December 2021. I have a 12-day southern Caribbean on the Anthem out of Bayonne with a backup on the Symphony. I’ve had the Anthem booked for quite awhile but not sure longer cruises out of Bayonne will sail this year.
