We have a cruise planned September this year on the Allure, and hoping with everything I have that it will go ahead.
We are also coming from South Africa, which is still under travel ban from the USA, so there's plenty of obstacles for us still. There also doesn't seem to be a clear idea of when we will see that lifted. 
We have until July to make the final call (July is the d-day for our 2-week Orlando stint before the cruise), so I hope to see movement soon soon.

Mr. SpeedNoodles is terrified of flying, so we drug him.  He can't fly alone since he needs a chaperone, but that prevents him from cruising without me.

First, that news relates to the residents of those states.
Second, and more importantly, these sort of "discussions" always end up with anti-mask/wear a mask debates. It's a third rail of message board discussions. Every time.

Felipe Romero, a spokesperson for Brownsville, said Wednesday that the 108 positives represent 6.3% of the number of total migrants who have been rapid-tested at the city’s main bus station, where they are being released by the Border Patrol. Rapid testing of the individuals began there on Jan. 25.

I need someone to tell me that booking one is a bad idea, but I'm pretty sure I can't count on you people.

I continue to be surprised that CBP allows cruisers to travel internationally without a passport.
I wouldn't travel without one but America is unique in this regard.  The US is so large it's common to go years without ever leaving so a passport isn't the thing that it is in other regions.  Within the US you can be in the Caribbean, or the Arctic, or a desert, in the mountains, the plains, or in the largest cultural epicenter of the world and in that statement I'm leaving out some of the best parts of America. 
Consequently many do not have passports so the current rule is a compromise for a low risk form of travel from a CBP perspective.    

I just got my 2nd vaccination this past Friday,  my wife get's hers this Friday.   
We're book on Allure of the seas this December.   Hopefully thing's will be normal ? by then. 

Will get the vaccine and wearing masking inside is fine, but won't cruise if we have to wear masks outside on the pool deck or just walking around outside.
