  1. Keel laying for Icon was in April, and keel laying for Utopia was in July, both of this year (2022). It should be feasible, if construction for both ships follows normal timing, (and I am clueless on how long it takes to build a cruise ship) for both ships to be completed in 2024. https://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/press-release/1599/royal-caribbean-celebrates-keel-laying-for-icon-of-the-seas/ https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2022/07/keel-laid-for-royal-caribbeans-utopia-of-the-seas-at-chantiers/
  2. "Coming Soon" but I think you are right: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2024_2025/2024_2025_Deployment_Opening_Schedule.pdf
  3. I like the idea of discounted unlimited drink and unlimited dining packages. They might sell more packages if they were cheaper. I would also stretch out the tiers like JazzBassMan, with existing diamonds grandfathered in.
  4. Any news on another one being planned?
  5. On Thursday morning (12/15) there are 18 results.
  6. 5 so far: Rhapsody, Mariner, Navigator, Liberty, and Independence. Over the next 18 months I'll add 3 more which are or will be sailing out of Galveston: Radiance, Allure, and Voyager. I really ought to book one on the Adventure as well. Maybe I will, if she's still around in a couple of years.
  7. Once Starlink is completely installed, a price hike is quite possible. https://www.thestreet.com/travel/carnivals-princess-hike-prices-royal-caribbean-may-follow
  8. I guess since it's a boy they can name him Jewell. I had an Uncle Jewell. A girl could have been named Jewel.
  9. Sorry you had a problem with the cheese that's not yours. I hope you have a better experience with the next cruise line you try.
  10. Thanks for the report! I'm looking forward to my sailing on the Radiance in February from Galveston!
  11. The first names must match as well between booking and CAS. You can't put Jimmy for James, and so on.
  12. Wow you really jumped into the suite life! I booked my first JS as well, but it was for a little four-day dip into the water as the second half of a B2B.
  13. Yes, hats off to the Twangster for this info. I looked at my 9-day itinerary for February and fortunately the U.S. port is first.
  14. I'm hoping to see a world cruise for 2024-2025. I haven't seen any news about the 2023-24 ultimate world cruise lately. They announced it one year ago, so I have been hoping for an announcement for a 2024-25 world cruise.
  15. Is there going to be a North Star on Icon? I didn't see one.
  16. Also, when you mean dinner lines you mean My Time Dining? You could just drop the key and walk in?
  17. I was also interested in debarkation. On our last trip there was a long line waiting to leave the ship, and Mrs. Cake is not exactly spry. If The Key let us bypass that line, I'd be a buyer, since I buy a voom package anyway. The difference looks like only $7 pppd. EDIT: In Matt's review of the Key, he mentioned free room service for breakfast. Is that still a thing?
  18. Does someone have an Amazon link to an adapter that we can plug into the round UK power outlet, to get a third AC outlet?
  19. My biggest beef is with the scheduling of shows and with the MDR seating times. The early show needs to be early enough so that the late seating guests can enjoy the show before dinner. I am on My Time dining since I don't want to eat dinner at 5:00 or go to bed with an overfull stomach after the 8:30 seating, and that does not work out well for early risers if you want to go to the shows.
  20. I'm on the Liberty now (9/6/22) and there is no sushi at the Windjammer. :(
  21. I was unaware of this, it's buried in the fine print of the PDF. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/countries/crown-and-anchor/pdf/CAS-member-grid.pdf Thank you for posting, I would love to book an interior cabin and get access to the suite lounge! Only 590 points to go!
