Sharla got a reaction from Baked Alaska in Lift and Shift for 2021
I would definitely recommend calling in for this and not doing it online- because those VS rooms are hard to come by! I did find one for some guests for next fall on Liberty, but it was the only one left that would qualify for L&S. If you find a date then call in immediately on it!

Yes- as the PP said your FCCs belong to you! You can rebook it with an agent and have them apply FCCs to it later.

    Hi @Jill and Everyone,
We just heard from Royal Caribbean- yes you will get that FCC back for the cruise planner credits for another cruise.

I know that @Sharla is on the case and will no doubt be in a position to share the definitive answer in due course, but FYI I have just got off the phone with RCI. I called on another matter but I too have applied CP 125% FCC to a forthcoming cruise and so asked out of interest what would happen if the new cruise is cancelled by RCI (it's out of the UK in Oct 2020).
The agent advised that as I have a FCC certificate number it will simply be reactivated, reverting me back to the position that I was in before I applied it.
Time will tell as to whether this is indeed correct, I am sure; however I hope of course that I don't have to find out as we will be on board spending it instead!

Hey Jill, I did ask around and I have a question in to our sales manager with Royal Caribbean. Hopefully we will have a definite answer soon!

Yes this is correct- send the confirmation number as well as the ship and sail date to your TA! It's very easy and can be done within 60 days of booking if not paid in full.

I’ll send Sharla at MEI an email today. I can’t imagine they’d wipe out $1800 of cruise planner OBC if the cruise gets canceled by them. I would think they’d just reissue the certificate to be used on another. This isn’t like free OBC promotion. This was for all my purchases from our canceled May cruise plus an extra 25%. I applied this certificate to my upcoming October cruise which likely will get canceled.

Sharla reacted to twangster in CDC -- Petition Link to White House
I like the idea although I think the petition could have been written better.
At the moment I think the CDC is doing the right thing but I do think they'll remain too restrictive longer than they'll need to and that is when they'll do irreparable harm to the cruise industry.
If this petition is successful it will take months for the process to work and any, if any, outcome to begin.  Any attention or awareness to the issue at the federal level is a good thing.

@crisgold52 I'm so sorry your agent has put you through this, I too am a control freak and the vacation planner (I joke that's why my wife married me, outsource her vacation planning). I've mentioned this before, but my wife and I planned a group cruise for our wedding in 2016. I was the group contact. Never again. I had to direct my family and friends through the groups department to pay (with restricted hours), nothing could be done online, I received 5 different answers to the same question from 3 different group "specialist" and had to manage the entire thing. Way more stress than a groom needed.
When we decided to do another group cruise for my wife's bday, I immediately hit the affiliate link here as everyone raves about MEI. I was randomly assigned an agent and she's been great. She has been invaluable. I knew immediately I wanted to be #teamtravelagent and passed along another booking I made (not group related).
Due to COVID-19 both sailings are being cancelled and sorta combined into one for next September. She's handling it all. I get one correct answer with possible ideas / solutions I never even thought about.
Hopefully, some day you'll give the travel agent route another try.

Im not a conspiracy theorist.....at all. Im aware the newest vaccine may not be the one we end up with as the best vaccine....but ill get whatever comes out.  Like I said, my wife is an RN,  and will have to get it, so by default....i will too.....because i do what she says. Look....if something comes out that lets everything get back to normal, sign me up. I havent seen my dad since January, am tired of working from home, I love my kids but I am a better father to them sane, and would love for them to be at summer day camp and daycare while I work.....AND I WANT TO GO ON MY CRUISE. I dont give two rats tails about politics and all that....im neither rich enough, or poor enough to ever feel the effects of that hot garbage. LETS F-ING GO!

Hello everyone. Throughout all of this very stressful, boring, frustrating, aggravating, (enter your words here!) time, the one place that I have been able to come to raise my spirits, keep my eye on the prize, and just plain have some fun is THIS website and message boards. Even in our frustrating moments with RCL, all of us here (save for the occasional troll), have remained a community. I love that! I have saved time and money and have learned so much from all of you and @Matt. Money saved? THOUSANDS! So, with that in mind, I have become a Royal Caribbean Blog Insider. The amount I've paid to become an insider is small compared to what I have saved due to the knowledge I've gained from everyone here. My level won't stay the same, but I will continue to be an Insider as long as I cruise RCL. If I stray back to Disney, well, then I stray. So, if you're saving money and time because of this very website, please consider even a tish to become an insider.
