Sharla reacted to WAAAYTOOO in Question re first person on the reservation
I think a great many of the blog posters on this site would recommend that the person (who cannot make it) just be a "no-show" rather than cancelling the third person prior to sailing.  As @HeWhoWaits mentioned, if you cancel that person prior to sailing, the entire booking will be re-priced at prevailing rates, which usually means an increase in price (but not always).  This is where a good travel agent is so important.  He/she can evaluate both options and let you know which is the best way to go.  Of course, you can do this on your own as well...but it can be a big hassle.
The important thing to remember is that at least 1 of the original people must always remain on the reservation.  The others can cancel, change names, etc. but at least 1 original "booker" must always remain.
If that third person simply does not show up for the cruise (is a "no-show"), the taxes, port fees and any gratuities (if prepaid) will be refunded but no cruise fare for that person will be refunded.

The reason I don't spend time in casinos on Royal Caribbean ships is the smoking. And on a lot of ships it wafts up into the Royal Promenade, which is even worse! I'm all for smoke- free casinos!

It would be great if the casinos went non-smoking, I'm all for it. But I won't hold my breath (pun intended)

.......put down another deposit. ? Good grief. Our May Symphony was canceled, so rebooked for October with FCC, which will likely be canceled. Can’t Lift and Shift because we already have Odyssey booked for next October.

This itinerary is rarely offered: St Thomas, St Maarten (our favorite), CocoCay. Next date: May 29, 2021. Start “browsing” availability. Hardly anything left. Panic! Go from JS this past May to oversized balcony October down to regular balcony next May. Call friends who we are booked with. Scan cabins. Find 2 together and bingo zippy, we are booked. I SWORE I would not give them anymore “real” money. Fail. (It is a refundable deposit ?)

    Hi @Jill and Everyone,
We just heard from Royal Caribbean- yes you will get that FCC back for the cruise planner credits for another cruise.

I would definitely recommend calling in for this and not doing it online- because those VS rooms are hard to come by! I did find one for some guests for next fall on Liberty, but it was the only one left that would qualify for L&S. If you find a date then call in immediately on it!

Yes- as the PP said your FCCs belong to you! You can rebook it with an agent and have them apply FCCs to it later.

I know that @Sharla is on the case and will no doubt be in a position to share the definitive answer in due course, but FYI I have just got off the phone with RCI. I called on another matter but I too have applied CP 125% FCC to a forthcoming cruise and so asked out of interest what would happen if the new cruise is cancelled by RCI (it's out of the UK in Oct 2020).
The agent advised that as I have a FCC certificate number it will simply be reactivated, reverting me back to the position that I was in before I applied it.
Time will tell as to whether this is indeed correct, I am sure; however I hope of course that I don't have to find out as we will be on board spending it instead!

Yes this is correct- send the confirmation number as well as the ship and sail date to your TA! It's very easy and can be done within 60 days of booking if not paid in full.

I’ll send Sharla at MEI an email today. I can’t imagine they’d wipe out $1800 of cruise planner OBC if the cruise gets canceled by them. I would think they’d just reissue the certificate to be used on another. This isn’t like free OBC promotion. This was for all my purchases from our canceled May cruise plus an extra 25%. I applied this certificate to my upcoming October cruise which likely will get canceled.
