Do you guys use local TAs or does it not matter to you?
-
The reason I ask or am confused is when I do call RC directly the always ask if you booked thru a TA press 2. I have only used a TA once before for a disney trip and when I checked in they gave me a room I did not book. It was a lesser room, I paid for water view and did not get it. Anyway I called the TA but they were gone for the day. I had to handle it my self and got very lucky... Any way ever since then I refuse to use a TA, might have been just a bad day or maybe I just need to find an agent that is more dedicated.. lol

100% certain that the public wouldn't take it eventually
So true! A lot of States here in the US don't force the issue now imagine in 6 more months.

How would it get the prices, and dates and all that?

find yourself a good TA and it's almost like you have a Land Genie.
But will they check the price periodically and if the price has fallen? I check it once a week or more, I should get a job that keeps me busy, I then call RC if it looks like the price is cheaper. I have gotten a price cut twice so far.

All very good questions @Atlantix2000!

@monctonguyIf the vaccine works and the Major countries, US, UK, AU, CA... I know there is more but not the point, get mostly inoculated this year then why would most everything not go back to the real norm not this BS "New norm" people are willing to accept? Even if they discover in wide usage that the vaccine is not 95% but only 85% it is still enough to allow normalcy. Hell how effective is the flu shot every year? I think its about 60% and how many people die from the flu each year IN the US its around 60K. I get it COVID is much worse at this point but after "the shot" will it be?
Just me $0.02.

It is a norm for residents of larger Asian cities to wear masks to reduce the amount of pollution they inhale.
I can't speak for all of Asia but I lived in Japan for 7 years and my wife was born there and lived there until she was 20. Her entire family still lives there and this is not why they tell me that they were masks, but I guess the point is not important.

facemasks will be part of the new norm for a good while yet
Why? If the vaccine is 95% effective then why would anyone have to be forced to wear a mask? It does not make any sense. If I get the "shots" then why would I wear a mask. There is no logic to this.

I hope it does... lol

RCL is down $3.54 and CCL is down $.74 today... Not a good day

Remember it is only the "new norm" if the people allow it to be!

NO!
If everyone or most everyone is inoculated then why would we need to keep wearing masks? Plus if masks are so effective why is the covid number still rising. Masks do help I understand but not to the point to mandate it everywhere, even after the "shot"

It looks so cool!!! I would love to.

f you sail from Hawaii to Vancouver and stay on the ship for a B2B to Seattle you are in violation of federal law
The difference is on a B2B you have to disembark the cruise then re-board for the new cruise. They are purchased as 2 different trips with 2 different booking numbers. It is not one cruise. The CDC says the cruise lines can not offer / sell any cruise longer then 7 days. They have not. It does not say someone can not do 2 cruises whether separated by 1 day or 12 hours.

The cruise ship operator must not sail or offer to sail on an itinerary longer than 7 days.
Not to argue with you but the cruise lines consider B2B cruises as 2 seperate cruises. Totally independent of each other. That being the case there is nothing to stop me from doing a B2B. The cruise line is only offering 2 separate 7 day cruises. There is no violation of any stupid CDC policy.

I have a 7 night booked for Oct 2021 and was wondering if anyone had any excursion recs for Falmouth, Jamaica and Labadee!
I am on the same cruise and have booked the Dragons breath Zipline, and the Wave jet driver. I have never done the western route either but I know it will be a blast

If I wanted to eat at some of the specialty restaurants on board but my partner would not (picky eater) would he still be able to sit with me while I eat with no charge or would he be charged to enter? If so, is there an option for me to take the food to go...?
That is a really good question I would also like to get the answer to that if / when you find out.

Not sure how the CDC can limit that. If they allow 7 day cruises then they would not really be able to stop a person from booking 2 seven day cruises. B2B or 6 months apart. They do not have the power to limit you in that way.

I am thinking of adding another cruise for 2021. Just a short 4 day one. Anyway I some questions. I was going to call RC directly but in the back of my head all I can hear is echoes of all the threads I have read in this blog saying "Use a TA". My questions about this. What's everyone's opinion of AAA TA and / or what is a good recommendation of a good.. No wait a great TA. I do live in the Columbia SC USA area, but maybe that does not matter.
Thanks
