I can appreciate your concern, but absolutely do not bother. I'm fairly certain that Royal and crew members are fairly aware of the fact that everyone everywhere has been/ is getting sick these last few months - whether it's covid, flu, rsv or the basic cold.

There is likely covid on every ship & every cruise. Nothing to be done about it.

Still too expensive. Should be included in the cruise price. I'm not going. 

I wouldn’t mind so much if it weren’t NUMEROUS times AND LOUD.  Ever sit under a speaker?  It was so bad on Jewel I had to get up and leave.  Seriously.  I’m noise sensitive for a lot of things.  I watch my  tv with volume set to a 9…I can tolerate up to a 15.  If I were in a dance club I expect loud.  I think there were 4 nights of this “assault” on my 8 night sailing.  Ironically also on Jewel for Greenland-different seating area , it was LOUD and one poor man at our  table would practically run out of the dining room when a hint of celebration was coming.  I felt bad for him, obviously he was way more sensitive to noise than I am.
if I had control over the remote I’d turn it down a few notches, then perhaps I could enjoy it.  Not being able to carry on a conversation because the music is overwhelming is just, well, overwhelming.  I get up and leave

+1. Enough with the nonsense and allow the staff to focus on the service. I can’t imagine the staff is thrilled to grind the MDR delicate dance to a halt and perform like this is a circus. 

One on the last night is plenty.

I’ve raised this to a few people and opinions are mixed - just on a 7 nighter Anthem cruise and we’ve already had two nights in the MDR where the staff do their appreciation parade and announcements. It stops the evening dead. Service grinds to a halt, and it’s usually before dessert has been served, so it takes a few minutes to wind things back up again. I am aware by some reactions during the event that people really love it, but do we really need two or (I fear again tonight) a third? I appreciate the staff and display it through additional gratuities, but I think I’d rather see this tradition come to an end. 

The statement above is true.  However, its your vacation and I recommend doing whatever is most convenient for you.  My cruising experiences in 2023 showed me that people with the 1130-1230 check-in times all show up at 1100-1115 and stood in line to be onboard for an early start to their vacation.  There is no enforcement (i.e., separate lines for time slots) for anyone showing up early.  This was implemented during the cruising restart and quickly discarded once COVID protocols were rescinded.  We shifted to the 1230-1:00 boarding times and have been able to arrive, drop bags, park, check in, and be onboard in less that 30 min at both Port Canaveral and Port Everglades.   I like the less stressful boarding process of coming in a little later and avoiding the lines.

To me looking at the deck plans and the limited vid I know they don't want to describe it this way but it looks like a Royal Esplanade rather than the traditional Promenade. The fact it doesn't have rooms overlooking kinda seals that feeling.

Anything would be better than Johnny Rockets.   A decent burger and fries would be great.

I agree. JR is a cute concept, but the burger and fry experience is very average on a good day.
Definitely an opportunity to rebrand it into something better.

That sale will be tomorrow, then extended for another day, then extended for another day, and so on and so on. There really aren’t “sales” to get excited about. Cabin prices go up and down based on supply & demand for the most part and not the presence or absence of any “sale”. 

They also have a deal with Emerill correct? I mean I don't get it, Royal Caribbean is going gangbusters right now with bookings and profit. It's shortsighted to think they can make a few extra bucks by cutting these things out. It's just strange, very strange. It has this lousy new CEO written all over it. I don't like him at all. 

I did it last January and I am going back on it again next month. 
First...you do a practice run from a not so high, and a not very long, course that gives you a feel for the higher/longer run. If you don't feel you can manage more than that then you can opt out then. 
That said...it is fairly high up on a hill but you are secured at all times. When they attach the 'lean forward' I don't recall being out over the edge but as I said, I was already secured. The steel cable hums at a high pitch as others are traveling along it...kind of spooky but also kind of cool. The ride down, if I recall correctly, can reach speeds around 40mph and it's about 1/2 mile long. As to closing your eyes...I don't see why you can't.
FWIW...my first time was after I celebrated my 70th.

At least top decks have open air, casino does not. That is why it should be smoke free.

Oh well I'm glad they charging 2 people 12 grand for an inside cabin in Icon and then also cutting costs on branding. I mean why not just cut every cent out of it makes the CEO more money his stock options are worth more. 

I've never seen a line at Ben & Jerry's on the Promenade like I do for the free soft serve line on the pool deck.  Can't get much cheaper than free.

Stayed in the Ben and Jerry's Sweet twice. Booked those cabins 2 years out. Enjoyed the cabin and the perks that came with it.
