Vision class ships could do it, couldn't they?
If memory serves me correctly, I recall reading a thread on these message boards a few years ago about this. One poster wrote that even Empress and Majesty sometimes had a hard time docking there because of their size.
-
Even if they were aloud to sail to Cuba again, there are no Royal Caribbean ships small enough to do so there since they sold Empress and Majesty of the Seas.
Perhaps they could build a Discovery class ship that could sail there.

Look up a past cruise compass for your ship. What you'll see may not be 100% the same as what your cruise may have, but it will give you an idea.

I've visited the RIU as a resort for a day in December of 2018. Had a great time. It's adults only.

We are headed from Disney area to PC on Monday 12/30 to board Utopia. I’ve don’t this trip many times and have never had an issue with traffic but it’s always been on a Saturday or Sunday. I would like to be at the port parking garage by 9:45am. In your experience is 528 East bound a mess if we leave hotel by Disney Springs at 7am? Thanks in advance.
You should be fine leaving that early.

There are no rules saying that you have to get off the ship during any port stop.
There are plenty of things to do on the ship while in port. Consult your cruise compass.
If you choose to get off the ship in port, you will have to pay for any restaurants you eat at with the exception being if the ship is at one of the cruise lines private destinations (Coco Cay or Labadee). Then it would depend on which eatery you go to.

I've used them for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Carnival. You have to be careful and read the fine print on them. It's best to use a travel agent when redeeming them to pay down (or off) a cruise in case any problems should arise.
-
I always double and triple check with my travel agent to make sure that I indeed have a table for 2 in the MDR. In addition, the first thing I do once on board is to go to the dining room and if I can get in, I'll check to see if I got that table for 2. If it's not a table for 2, or it's in one of those areas where there's a group of tables for 2 together with less than 2 feet between them (I've seen those on Matt's videos), I'll find someone to talk to about getting a better seating accommodation.
On a cruise in 2021 we got a table for 4. I asked about it and was assured there wouldn't be anyone else at that table besides my wife and I. Sure enough, we were the only ones seated there.

I'm not a fan of it either.
If you're waiting for your entrée or dessert you'll have to wait until the show is over before you can get it.
It's is even worse on Carnival.

Sigh, file this one under would'a, could'a, should'a.
I believe in 2020 the price had gone down as low as $19.00 a share. I was watching and hoping it would have gone down to $10.00 a share, then I would have bought 100 shares. But alas, that never happened, and more than likely now, never will

Pipe dream coming down in 3...2...1....
How about Royal buy's it back, does a complete overhaul with the engines to conform with todays (and tomorrows) standards, makes some changes inside and out, names it Majesty of the Seas again, and returns to sailing to all ports, especially the ones the larger ships can't go to just like it used to.

I saw on one of the click bait cruise news sites a story saying that Royal has now placed multi outlet plugs on the naughty list. I've known them as tri taps, and I have brought them onboard. Plug them into a standard 120 volt outlet, and you get 3. If used properly there should be no problem, but it seems bad apples once again have spoiled it for the whole bunch.
The next question is, what is considered a multi outlet? A 120 volt tri tap, a 120 volt adaptor that gives you a 120 volt outlet and/or a USB port or 2, a 120 or 240 voltage converter that gives you a regular outlet and/or a USB outlet or 2? I have all of these, but don't use them all.
I know nothing that has surge protection is allowed.
I guess it will come down too what kind of day the security screener is having.

In 2021 I saw a great Aqua Theatre show on Harmony of the Seas called Big Daddy's Hideaway Heist. Really cool mid-century modern theming. Is that show not there anymore?
Looks like it was as of April of this year.

Good question. I would have to assume because the beds can be separated that there is a topper for single beds available. If not, I guess they would simply just fold over the Royal king sized one in order to make it fit on a single. Believe me, you'll need more than just one single topper.

Royal isn’t losing one cent!
Yea I know they're just doing what they do best, and that's jacking up the prices on everything to make up for it.
But in the meantime, between time, who is taking care of everything in Labadee?
Maintaining everything there.
I'm sure that's not being done for free.

If you want to be optimistic, no news is good news.
If you want to be pessimistic, it's Haiti we're talking about.
I'm surprised Michael Bayley has not been over there negotiating peace talks with all parties involved by now. How much money a day is Royal losing with no ships there and them having to either pay to go to another port (if one is available) or have a day at sea.

I too have an issue with the cruise planner. The prices for everything have gotten way too high. They were so much lower it only seemed like yesterday.
Perhaps Royals IT can look into that

Don't people realize they can (at least on this forum) go back and edit their posts? I re-edit mine all the time. I just don't click the box that says show that this message has been edited.

From my understanding you can, but you'll be paying whatever the current cruise fare is the day you try to change. Check to see what the difference in price is before you decide. The closer you get to the final payment, the chances are what you're currently paying with the refundable deposit will be cheaper should you decide to go on the cruise.
I'm in the same ship
My next Royal Caribbean cruise was booked with refundable deposit, but the following 2 weren't.
Cuba.

I recall after the sale of Empress and Majesty of the Seas when asked about any future Cuba sailings the CEO of RCG said that they still had a ship small enough to sail there. So more than likely it's indeed Silversea, unless there's a Celebrity ship small enough too.
