  1. It shouldn't. As far as I know, the only time your Cruise Planner purchases would be affected is if you moved your cruise, whether via Lift & Shift, or just in general.
  2. Thank you for the perspective from that side of the border. This, of course, isn't something I want to hear -- but it's certainly something I'm preparing myself for. I've decided that if our 10/11 cruise from Boston aboard Brilliance goes ahead, I'll be on it, even with altered ports. I made that choice for my June sailing which was ultimately cancelled, and I'll do it again if need-be. I'm really looking forward to getting to visit the Canadian ports one day, even if it takes me til next year to do so; I really want to spend time in Halifax when I'm able.
  3. Thanks for the reassurance -- that's how it looked to me, but it's good to hear! And perfectly timed, too...my TA emailed me just now to double-check with me, noting the travel distance and potential time constraints. ?
  4. Thanks for sharing this! I actually have an AQSC cruise book sitting on my shelf right now, because I was curious about their itineraries and I'd love to do one of their cruises someday, and so it's good to see how they're doing things, even though their product is vastly different than RCCL.
  5. I get it. Totally, I do. None of us want to wear a mask. And honestly, I find myself wondering how RCCL is going to make all of this work; I live in a state that's still only allowing restaurants to do carry-out/curbside delivery, so honestly, I don't even understand how masks and dining areas (and oh, my God -- bars...which I'll admit are gonna be super-important to me!) would even work together...but the thought isn't something I relish. Still, it's something I'd do in order to cruise. I just take comfort in knowing I could just lounge on my balcony without the mask -- or at least so I'd hope. As long as I know what I'm getting into, I'll make it work. Will it be ideal? Nope...this whole pandemic isn't ideal -- but then again, viruses don't really care if they're not.
  6. You know, if the U.S. Public Health Service/military health establishment/National Health Service Corps figure out a way to pull off giving every traveler coming into a U.S. port of entry a rapid-result test so we knew whether or not we needed to quarantine, I'd love that -- because even though I personally can quarantine for 14 days upon return, I know a lot of people can't, and it'd be nice to know whether or not they had to, especially if it were the go/no-go factor for their travel plans.
  7. I get that a lot of people find their "deal breaker" to be having to wear masks, but I just hope if people decide to sail, they'll do as they're told and won't try to push back against RCCL's requirements. That's the thing that worries me -- people deciding mid-cruise is suddenly a time to take a stand or something. THAT would ruin my cruise more than anything. Make up your mind before you get on board, please.
  8. I agree. Somebody told me recently that sometimes it takes a while to find "the one" when it comes to TAs, just like it does with other people in life. You want somebody who'll be an advocate for you and who'll do most of the heavy lifting. It's like with any business: if you're dissatisfied with the service, don't be afraid to shop around!
  9. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was another sale in between the Memorial Day sale and the July 4th sale. I mean, the one for the holiday weekend only comes like 2 weeks after the last sale.
  10. I don't have an answer (though, like above, I'm not overly optimistic), but I really hope you get to take it. This itinerary is on my to-do list for next year.
  11. 2 1/2 hours on the phone this morning (plus the 3 1/2 last night from disconnected calls), and I hope I finally have a resolution for my other two cancelled cruises. The resolution department said that the FCCs weren't created, though they should have been, so I should receive both of them within a week. Needless to say, if I don't receive them in 10-14 days, I'm going to be calling back and enlisting my TA's help as well. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  12. While they don't go to Roatan, there are several sailings on Mariner that will visit Cozumel from Nov. 2021 to April 2022.
  13. I'm sitting on hold again. This time, I actually got a representative who didn't try to just brush me off and was sympathetic to my frustrations. She's currently reaching out to the department charged with creating FCCs and is trying to help me through all this. And helping me get an answer about the refundable OBC I'm supposed to see, too. I was a bit glib when I speak of cancelling all my cruises and getting refunds. I really don't want to do that. I just want to feel like I matter as a customer, and my previous conversation today didn't make me feel that way. And THAT is what's frustrated me about all this: the customer-care experience has been so inconsistent. I know they're dealing with unprecedented circumstances here, but please don't give us dates if they can't be met, especially if you're not going to follow up beforehand and say "we're facing a delay..." or if you're not willing to help customers understand why their credit hasn't even started processing on the date that was given and how it can be remedied to some extent. Don't make me feel like I'm somehow being a pest by inquiring about something I was told when it didn't come to pass. Yes, I have a travel agent, but she's overwhelmed, too, and I believe in both having advocates and being an advocate for myself.
  14. Well, I'll definitely be seeing what I can do to cancel all my RCCL reservations at this point and get refunds. I was just told that my FCC for my cancelled cruise hasn't even started processing yet, despite multiple assurances by RCCL that it would be in my hands by today. Maybe cruising just isn't in my future.
  15. Also, because your cruise was booked before August 1, 2020 (even if the sail date is after), you should be covered by the current version of "Cruise With Confidence", which means whether your fare is refundable or not, you should qualify for a Future Cruise Credit worth 100% of what you paid. My non-professional opinion, but as someone who struggled to recover after surgery last year in a journey that took about 3 months longer than it was supposed to...please just wait. I'm almost certain you'll both be glad you did. All the best to her for the surgery and her recovery!
  16. Oh, Anthem's still sailing; I just found out earlier this week that a work/school-related thing got moved from Dallas in August to Orlando in November, and it ends on 11/22 at noon and Harmony sails from Port Canaveral on 11/22 at 4:30, so... ?
  17. Same. Trying to just hope for the best, but since it's almost 5 p.m. ET... Just out of curiosity, I'll be able to have these FCCs deactivated and turned into refunds if I so choose, right? I'm not real thrilled that has begun entering my thought process, but...
  18. Nice! I was originally going to be sailing on Anthem on 11/21, but because of a change in my schedule, I'm moving to Harmony on 11/22. Waiting to hear back from my TA about what cabin I end up with.
  19. ? I just went back and watched all the ads on YouTube because of your comment. So, wait...I'm confused. I could've sworn I've read on this forum previously that folks in junior suites don't have CK privileges. ? (I wouldn't know -- I'm supposed to be in a JS 13 days from now, but...well...yeah. ? )
  20. Thanks for the update, @JohnK6404! I've been rushing to check my email every time my device tells me I have incoming mail -- and this gives me hope that I might see it today! Waiting for an FCC for a June 4 cruise (cancelled by RCCL), the refund of a deposit for a July 15 cruise (self-cancelled), and some OBC. May the odds be ever in our favor!
