  1. Good to know, I just assumed it would be different each time, which still could be the case, but nice to know there's a possibility that we may have the same table/staff
  2. What do they typically do on a Bermuda trip if there is a hurricane? I noticed a few trips in October out of NY to Bermuda that are priced great, but hesitate thinking that would be a prime spot for a hurricane to travel through during that time of year
  3. We went to Atlantis and enjoyed the aquarium and walking around there. My wife didn't really enjoy the trip over to paradise island (saw a couple stray dogs she wanted to go adopt and bring back on the ship with us, she is a big animal lover) but other than that it wasn't bad. Our plan this trip is to stay on the ship when in Nassau though.
  4. I would second the Epic, we stayed there last year and enjoyed it alot. We haven't stayed at the Intercontinental though and that hotel seems to be a favorite on this board.
  5. Just curious how this works. Our first RCL cruise we did MTD as well but didn't do reservations, just showed up on the nights we ate in the MDR. This time I made reservations on the cruise planner for the days we plan on eating there. I know there will be people there for the early/late seatings and then others with MTD lining up, how close to our reservation time should we really expect to get a table? Also, I keep getting emails to make my MTD reservations even though I did and they show up on my calendar, should I assume we're all set?
  6. How are the chocolate covered strawberries that you get in the room on embarkation day? I ordered them for my wife for our upcoming cruise as a little treat, just curious how they are?
  7. I think it is timed, it's annoying but it removes after like 24 hours or something like that I believe.
  8. The 3 night has been at $99 for our Anthem sailing as well, I don’t remember if it was discounted for Black Friday, but I haven’t seen it go below $99 in our cruise planner
  9. Has anyone done the 1.5 hour swimming with stingray excursion on CocoCay? I've found other posts here asking similar questions, but not really any answers unfortunately. Just trying to see how it was. It says swimming with stingrays and snorkeling, just curious if you actually see anything while snorkeling, how long the boat ride out is and how long you are actually with the stingrays. Thanks!
  10. Even with these videos and different angles it's hard to tell what exactly he was trying to do? He wasn't pulling into the dock between Oasis and Legend, so why so close to them? we went on Carnival Liberty and if I remember right on that ship that area was a dining room and I think there was a venue back there too, for comedy shows...not sure if these ships are set up in a similar way
  11. From the main page on the app, click the round button with the fork and knife, it will give you the options of the specialty restaurants and the main dining, click on any of them and there will be a menu link to click
  12. I guess I've never really given this topic a lot of thought until now reading all the responses here. On formal nights on cruises we just skipped the MDR and picked the windjammer or whatever else and that was it, we just didn't feel like participating and having to pack "fancy" clothes (we both work in a professional environment and don't feel like dressing too fancy on vacation). I can understand the sentiment with the formal nights for people who are accustomed to that from prior cruises, it is neat to see people who go all out and dress up, I guess I never thought twice about what other people were wearing because it didn't affect my vacation or if I was having a good time. My thoughts are, do what makes you happy and as long as you're not hurting someone else, then you do you.
  13. Not knowing a ton about this, couldn't RCI get around the liability of potentially "dangerous" excursions by having anyone who wishes to participate in one of the excursions just sign a waiver? Again, I don't know if this is something they already do or if it would really limit their liability, but simply looking at it, it seems like it would be an easier solution to cancelling all potentially dangerous excursions
  14. Can you contact them prior to your cruise to request a certain table (by the window, etc) for dinners? Or is this something you would just do first day on ship?
  15. Ok thanks, I wonder if all the options just maybe aren’t loaded into cruise planner yet. So far for FlowRider they only have the ultimate experience and a couple lessons available to book.
  16. So I just noticed the activities are available to book for our cruise and I was able to make reservations for North Star and Rip Cord. I was also able to reserve flow rider but only at a cost. I thought it was included like the others or is it only available at an additional cost? Also, the North Star was only open to book on sea days, any idea if they open up days while in port? Was thinking it would be cool to do in Nassau.
  17. Whats a typical itinerary for an Arctic cruise? Where do they usually depart from?
  18. Thanks Speednoodles, looks like a great view, I see what you’re talking about with the superstructure
  19. Obviously not the biggest concern, but I can only imagine what the mood is like on that ship, both for passengers and crew as they're leaving that port and continuing on. Just a really sad situation all around, I know its a risk and we take risks all the time, but not something you really think about when going on vacation, honeymoon, etc.
  20. I know Disney does this on their site, you can book the whole vacation package, flight and all, seems like it's much more convenient. It would be nice if we were able to do all of the planning right from RCI's site. I wonder if they would make some type of commission on flights/hotels etc booked through their site? There must be an incentive for others (Disney for one) to offer it.
  21. I've seen posts on here saying how good and desirable these rooms are and that they usually sell out pretty fast and having never stayed in one I was looking at possibly trying one out. I was just curious, are there certain ships where they are better than others? I was looking at Freedom of the seas and I thought it was strange that on multiple decks all of the Aft balcony rooms were available, Aft facing I should say, except the suites were booked.
  22. I have been on their site just to see what day passes would cost for the day we're there to price things out, haven't purchased the tickets yet, how do I connect them to MagicBands and what are the benefits to that? We planned on Magic Kingdom to get the most hours in the park we could.
  23. After I booked the transportation excursion I just looked at my calendar and it shows the times as 7:30-5:30. We're scheduled in port from 7a-7p, I'm assuming the 7:30 departure time may be a little ambitious, but who knows, maybe it's not, we figured if we were able to get more than half a day in the park we'd be happy, hit some of our favorite rides and walk around and whatnot. I think the park is scheduled to open at 9am the day we are there, which I believe is typical, so we figure we would be there around opening, if not slightly after.
