Totally agree with this.  It seems so ridiculous that they continue to deny the internet perk to the full suites.  It costs them nearly nothing and the "good will" it would generate would be enormous.  Penny wise and pound foolish (or whatever that saying is....).

Good point. Any Star Class expansion to older fleets would just jack up prices.

Adding included internet to the suites perks on older ships would be all I'd want.

I don't know if any of you on the roll call are still going on this cruise on 7 December but if you are you might want to check your prices.
There's been a huge price drop for balcony cabins. I just managed to switch my OV cabin to a specified spacious balcony cabin and still made a saving of about $25. What a deal! I'm so pleased I'm practically dancing around the room! 😁🤑

Just a little over 24 hours to go before we board our plane from NJ to Vancouver! Weather in the NE is terrible today but it looks like everything should be clearing up tomorrow. My travel anxiety will continue to be high until wheels are down in Vancouver but oh well. That's what cocktails are for, right?
We are packing away! It seems like we can get by with 1 checked bag, 1 rollaboard, and 2 backpacks between Mr. Regular and me. I keep reminding my mom, who has never packed light in her life, that her checked bag can't weigh over 50 pounds and she keeps buying bigger and bigger suitcases 🤦‍♀️ but that will be her problem to have a bag check tomorrow, I guess.

Can't wait to add another mug and magnet to the collection!

I have a long list of housework, errands, and chores to tackle today. Oh, and doing my full time job too. Will check in from travel tomorrow!

Crazy. When I hear that prices doubled for some sailings/cabins it almost makes me feel OK that I've booked summer 2025 cruises for like 20% more than I paid for this summer. I have a much lower price for spring break 2025 (that I'm likely going to have cancel, which kinda kills me) but spring break 2026 is the same as summer so that one went up like 50%. March is no longer cheaper than June/July. 😭

I'm assuming to reduce confusion. Look at how many questions on the forms would never have been asked if people bothered to read all the text on a cruise planner page. In this case, I'm willing to bet Royal has dealt with many angry passangers that "Chops + 1" didn't mean the guest booking the reservation gets to bring a guest as part of the booking. i.e. people were taking the +1 to mean an extra guest versus getting to dine at Chops plus another specialty resturant during the cruise.

If only La Bamba had referral fees! She deserves a commission.

I agree! The price of an off season, out of Galveston 2 br aqua theater suite was double what we paid for our sailing last year when I checked opening day. The value just isn't there anymore for us. I realize "value" and "star class" don't really go in the same sentence, but it reached a point where the benefits are no longer equal to the price.  

Plus; why did they decide to include grats in the 'sale' price, when other dining packs don't? 🤔

Big thanks to @Lovetocruise2002 for La Bamba!  A couple of weeks ago, I arrived in Miami a few days before our cruise for work and rented a car.  I picked up a hungry family (we are Californians) at FLL around dinner.  All were frantically device searching for food and I casually said, “I’ve heard awesome things about La Bamba” so off we went.  All enjoyed dinner and could not believe I knew of the place; I was a food hero!

Hubby  and I thought the Captain made a mistake with hitting the wrong communication button and we had an announcement in our cabin.  Next day we had info about arriving at the glacier piped into our cabin. Again, I thought they hit the wrong ship.  Then another announcement 10 minutes later. WTH! We had a day we could sleep in only to be woken by announcements!!!! Third announcement and hubby jumped out of bed and apparently turned down the volume control in the cabin,
SURPRISE!! the volume control for announcements work!  Who knew??!! It hasn’t worked on any other sailing I’ve taken!? 
 

Still an awful deal compared to the 3N package with grats included from everything I've seen but at least it's clearer.

Looks like they updated the Chops+1 listing to make it clearer that grats are included. It wasn’t there when I started this thread.

I’m vintage—kids are grown with their own kids.  My first cruise was about 20 years ago and I am D+.   I have not once been bothered by a kid on an RC ship.  I cannot say the same for adults.  On Oasis a couple of weeks ago, the kids impressed me!  Several helped me with my grandkids politely and happily; it was awesome!

I think that they are new. Did not get them in the past couple of years. 

Why shouldn't kids in suites be allowed to use the suite amenities though?

Happy enough. The cost difference has probably pushed us out of the 2 br suite for now, and we would not be comfortable in one room all together. Is it exactly what we want...no. But it was a lot more doable than I expected. Especially since diamonds were allowed in the crown lounge for happy hour this sailing. It was never busy in there - I didn't make it to the Top Tier Event so I don't know the breakdown of passengers. 
With the points from this cruise we only need 9 more to make diamond plus. The extra cruise DH and I are considering this fall is a 5 night in a suite so we would be there before our big one next spring. As a family though, it's going to be connecting balconies, and I'm ok with that.

Beach Club at Coco Cay prices are WAAAY down! The OWC there started at 4,999 now it's slightly over 2,000. Entry to the Beach Club has come down also. I'm not biting because I paid enough for the sailing but I'm thinking many feel this way because the drops are BIG. Now if they would only let us in on the big secret Railway Dining experience, that is something I MAY commit to, depending on the $$$$. We are on the Island with Allure so we most likely won't even leave the ship. New ship & only 3 nights probably enough to experience on board. First person to see anything new please give us the heads up?

i’m trying to remember if J got anything fried… i think she got the mussels and said they were very good as well. 
we are on the “jersey shore” (BUT NOT LIKE THE SHOW 😅) so i would consider our seafood standards higher than most; a lot of local places are really exceptional here. seconding @Lovetocruise2002 —  the non-fried seemed to be the way to go. 
i was a little sad to see the 2lb lobster off the menu and now its twin tails…. but to be fair, 2lbs of lobster nearly put me in the GRAVE. so maybe they are onto something 🧐🧐😂
