  1. Hmmm...I wonder if I can used my points for the Ritz. I will look into that.
  2. Great googly-moogly. That thing looks worse than the insulation foam that served you yesterday on the plane. Glad it tasted better than it looks !
  3. Good to hear from you, arebee. It’s been a while !
  4. Yes. I have done the opposite many times (asked for red velvet cake from Chops when dining at Giovanni’s)
  5. Is that the W Marriott property ? I’ve been eyeing that one or the regular Marriott for my Dec Oasis cruise. I thought the W sounded kinda “funky” (not in a good way). How are the rooms ?
  6. It depends on how far past final payment you are. There is a graduating cancellation penalty that gets bigger as time passes and eventually ends up penalizing you the full fare.
  7. I would think there would be enough space for a roll away if you can get one. You may have to move the coffee table the way.
  8. I believe we just had a thread on this...
  9. Are they doing the upcharge NorthStar (like they did for the Alaska glaciers) when viewing the island shores ?
  10. ...and even for SC I think it’s somewhat limited.
  11. I’m not sure about lunch but they are always out and about hocking the specialty restaurants. I feel quite sure that you could squeeze a lunch deal out of them.
  12. Stay out of Diamonds International. They are owned by the cruise line’s.
  13. One bite is about all I can stand of creme brûlée, as good as it is. It’s just sooooo sweet. ...and speaking of waaaytooo sweet, do NOT fall for the Addams Family ads from IHOP for those cool-looking purple whupped cream pancakes. I tried it this morning (including the whipped crean hot chocolate). I thought my teeth were going to drop out of my mouth. Delicious but waaaytooo sweet
  14. The truth is, it seemed like all of the drink, dining, Internet and Key prices were up today which shockingly (not really) coincided with the start of the latest Kids Sail Free sale.
  15. No overnights yet that I am aware of. My hypothesis was that they were planning on using the Resort that they recently purchased at Freeport (Grand Lucayan or something like that) as their overnight vehicle but I fear Dorian may have ruined those plans (if that ever WAS the plan). As far as the ship just staying overnight (as opposed to pax disembarking and remaining behind) I have seen no itins for that either.
  16. The egg whites have a strange resemblance to insulating foam. Probably tastes about the same, too ! The fruit looks ok.
  17. On a per person, per day basis, the shorter the cruise, the more expensive it is....especially on the newly amped ships. The cruises we took in June and July on NAV are some of the expensive pp/pd cruises we’ve ever done. If you only have a few days then it’s worth paying the high premium but if you have the time, it’s definitely a better deal to go on longer cruises.
  18. But you’re Prime, right ? So I don’t think would have charged you anyway. We need a non-Prime test subject to verify the fee aspect. ???
  19. Say what ?? Oh.....you mean the ones that hang out 3” from the boarding lane believing that if they’re the first ones on that they will win the lottery ?
  20. It’s also a VERY long walk all the way aft which is the primary reason we quit booking the ATS. Waaaytooo much walking for me.
  21. So it looks like I owe someone (can’t remember who it was) a huge apology for insisting that Royal did not allow you to get cash from your onboard account at the slot machines. I’m sorry...to whoever it was. Is this something new ? I don’t remember (obviously) being able to do this although, I am NOT a slots player so maybe you could always do it and I just never knew. I recall many years ago asking if you could do this and was told “no”. It’s a terrific capability to avoid the 5% convenience fee. Can you do it more than once or beyond the $500 ?
  22. Our very first (2) ATS were the 1 BR ones. I would say that the ones on 11 are worth the money but the ones on 12 and 14 are not. They are so much smaller and the balconies (particularly on Allure and Oasis) are downright tiny.
